She nodded, shooting him a look of concern before she turned, climbing up the hill lithely. They walked for a while before the smell grew stronger, leading the elf to a clearing in the woods— she gestured for Fíli to wait and crept to the edge of the trees, returning after a moment. “Men. Cooking meat. I didn’t see Kíli, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t nearby.”

Fíli wonders what his brother is up to.  "You don't think those men will be any trouble, do you? I hope we don't have to get Kíli out any trouble. I will be old before my time because of him." Fíli joked, realising his joking might fall on deaf ears with this immortal standing next to him. "How are we to proceed? Do we wait?" He hates feeling a bit helpless but when his brother is concerned he'll push his pride back to get the answers he seeks.
