the problem re the 18/23 y gap is that mila would just be out of hs and entering college while sara would possibly already have either graduated or been a senior. you do a lot of maturing / are exposed to new things when you first enter adulthood (whether u go to college/not) and bc ur Just Freshly an adult it takes you a while to grow into that state & level of maturity, which sara would already be far ahead in. a 23 y/o would def be more well-rounded & adjusted to being an adult than an 18 y/o

yeah, thats basically my perspective too and why it makes me a bit uncomfortable its just,, a 4-5 year age gap means a lot when ur not even in your 20s yet. to me that doesnt magically change once turning 18 and being a legal adult and this is coming from someone who just turned 19 last month
