– Kain leaned heavily on the sword he’d struck into the ground, panting, barely on his feet. The clash of their swords still rang in his ears.
“That seems easy for you to say,” he replied, bitterly.
But as he looked up at Cecil, the fury dissipated from his eyes and he smiled faintly.
“In hindsight, I should have had someone less accomplished help me train. This is much like a mage’s apprentice trying to duel the Mysidian elder, I fear…”
