anyway saturday night tried opening my laptop for the first time in 6+ months to type up my new au notes only to realise i'd forgotten my password (for the first time in the 9 years i've had that laptop) and proceeded to slowly spiral over the weekend as i failed to find ways to reset my password without factory resetting my laptop and losing almost a decade of personal stuff!
