Me keeping RP logs: literally only screens my own jokes
Shiazz is a snarky, moody asshole 99% of the time. The only person he truly softens up for is his foster daughter, Sheasa. He’ll be endlessly patient with her, read her the same bedtime story over and over again, play with her whenever he can, brush and braid her hair every morning, spend hours and hours with her in his workshop, tinkering on golems and watching her learn and improve her golemancy skills, stay up for ages calming her down after a nightmare.....
Just. Shiazz being a good father. Yes.
Shiazz once attempted to put on fake lashes, but ended up gluing his eye shut
The Trilogy.
AAALRIGHT sheasa: 12,13, 29, 47, 50 and shiazz: 24, 29, 43 please :>
AH YES THESE TWO <3
Sheasa:
12. How does their education and intelligence – or lack thereof - reflect in their speech pattern, vocabulary, and pronunciations?Like almost every progeny, Sheasa’s vocabulary is very advanced, but she only uses ‘big words’ when she has to, in order to express what she means. Her everyday speech isn’t very childlike, but simpler than when she’s geeking out about golemancy, for example.
13. Did they like school? Teachers? Schoolmates? She does! Her early school days, pre-college, were somewhat difficult for her, because she didn’t have any friends her age and didn’t really know how to make friends. It did get better when she actually entered the College of Synergetics, and befriended Caffi.
29. What is your character’s weaknesses? Hubris? Pride? Controlling?Anxiety, Fear, Shyness, underestimating herself. Sheasa also tends to assume that someone is acting in a certain way because she did something wrong, she’s fairly quick to blame herself for things.
47. Do they want to project an image of a younger, older, more important person? Does they want to be visible or invisible?Sheasa projects an image of an older person, yes, but she isn’t aware of that. There aren’t many childlike things she actually does, and when she does, it’s usually in private. As for the visibility thing, attention, positive or negative, makes her nervous. She’d rather blend in with the crowd.
50. What are the prevailing facial expressions? Sour? Cheerful? Dominating?Adorable! ….ahem. Sheasa’s default expression is a curious, attentive one, she also smiles easily.
Shiazz:
24. What social groups and activities does your character attend? What role do they like to play? What role do they actually play, usually? His family (the one he grew up in),his household, his colleagues, Whispers and Council. Shiazz is a showoff, so he usually attempts to demonstrate his superiority outside of domestic situations. At home, he softens up a little and slips into the father role for Sheasa. The Order knows Shiazz as a competent Agent.
29. What is your character’s weaknesses? Hubris? Pride? Controlling?Pride, Vanity. He also sulks a lot. ….generally, it’s hard to get along with him, you know, without wanting to punch him once ot twice a day.
43. Does your character have any secrets? If so, are they holding them back?Apart from the obvious ones, because he’s a spy, nope.
thank you <3
Wanna know shit too?
For Lyranni: 8, 11, 17-20, & 42! For Shiazz: 1-3, 25, 27, & 41!
Hi thank u omg <333
Lyranni:
8. How does your character feel about religion?Lyranni follows Ventari’s teachings, but she doesn’t see them as absolute laws, but as guidelines. Her analytical and rational personality allows her to understand that you can’t truly live like that in a world like Tyria (eg, “Everything has a right to live” doesn’t really work when the thing that has a right to live, is attempting ti take your right to live away).
11. How do they see themselves: as smart, as intelligent, uneducated?Lyra sees herself as a diplomat, she knows that she’s skilled enough to manipulate people, and attempts to use that talent for good.
17. Did they travel? Where? Why? When?EVERYWHERE. Lyra speaks for the Pale Tree in the Pact and has been with my ‘main hero group’ for a long time. She’s Whispers.affiliated and had been traveling around Tyria since she joined (at age 3).
18. What did they find abroad, and what did they remember?Lyranni is a Thirdborn, many of the things she saw and experienced were completely new for her and helped shape her as a person. She has seen both good and bad things, mercy and cruelty, leaving her with the conclusion that Good and Bad has a balance, none can exist without the other, and even if things seem hopeless, they eventually will get better. Her travels, especially her early travels, are what defines her today
19. What were your character’s deepest disillusions? In life? What are they now?Her most hyprocritical delusion that lasts to this day is actually her faint hope of redeeming Seriyanni, the Courtier, and her former friend. Other than that, she dropped the sylvari-typical naivete and replaced them with the mentality I described earlier.
20. What were the most deeply impressive political or social, national or international, events that they experienced?Lyranni witnessed (and contributed to) the founding of the Pact, the victory over Zhaitan and Scarlet, and eventually had to witness the Rise of Mordremoth.
42. What does your character want most? What do they need really badly, compulsively? What are they willing to do, to sacrifice, to obtain? There are two people Lyranni would make irrational sacrifices for: Mahalyn, her lover (and to some extent, student), and Seriyanni, her fallen friend. She already has made sacrifices for the latter, by not killing her when she had the chance, causing innocents to suffer and die in the crossfire, and she is willing to abandon reason and “the greater good” to protect the former.
Shiazz:
1. How does your character think of their father? What do they hate and love about him? What influence - literal or imagined - did the father have?Shiazz’ foster father was a very busy man, constantly working on his projects, barely having time for him. They weren’t very close and Shiazz could probably not even describe what his father is like, but he did make clumsy attempts to bond with his son from time to time - Shiazz appreciates that, but doesn’t really know how to handle that either. It’s a constant exchange of slightly confused approval.
2. Their mother? How do they think of her? What do they hate? Love? What influence - literal or imagined - did the mother have? His mother,….. tried her hardest to understand and support him during his youth, but there were many things she simply couldn’t understand, she tried to ‘parent’ him a lot, even in his 20s and ended up accidentally abusing him. He knows that she means well, but that doesn’t change the fact that he avoids her as much as he can.
3. Brothers, sisters? Who do they like? Why? What do they despise about their siblings?Shiazz does not have any siblings.
25. What are their hobbies and interests? He enjoys golemancy and tinkering around on more or less useful little gadgets. In addition to that, he also enjoys programming, all of those are things he passes on to his foster daughter Sheasa, teaching her and sharing his passion is something that brings him a lot of joy.He also has a thing for fashion and fancy clothing, he spends a lot of money on that.
27. How do they relate to their appearance? How do they wear their clothing? Style? Quality?Shiazz’ natural hair color is a greyish blue and he hates it, which is why he bleaches it regularly. (dark roots are his worst nightmare) His appearance is important to him, his stuff takes up lots of space in the bathroom, from makeup to lotions and masks - he owns every single beauty products known to man.His clothes vary from practical stuff to wear while working, over his Whispers Uniforms, for when he’s reporting in in person, and his fancy civil clothing, mostly consisting of suits, blouses, and skirts.
41. Is your character aware of who they are? Strengths? Weaknesses? Idiosyncrasies? Capable of self-irony?He….. he’s an asshole and he is aware of that to some degree. His tendency to snark and moodiness is someting he tries to work on, but sometimes, he just doesn’t care. His intellectual and practical strengths are obvious to him, and he does like to brag about them/show them off, but he would never admit that he’s actually a really good, compassionate and supportive father to Sheasa. (he has a reputation to lose, ok)
ask me shit?
For Chyrru and Sheasa (naturally) 22, 29; for Shiazz, 8 and 14. 14 for older Sheasa if she'd end up being the sort to drink.
RUBS HANDS
Mommy and Babby:
22. What are they like when they get sick? Do they have a particular system (ears, lungs, etc) that illness gravitates to?
Chyrru: Well, their immune system is a little weak, which is why they quickly get colds/the flu. (Wounds inflame easily because of that too). They either completely disregard their sickness (bad idea), or just power through some recovery things like tea, medicine, rest, to get rid of it as fast as possible. They don’t really like being sick and even weaker than usual.
Sheasa: Is guilty of not dressing properly and running around barefoot a lot, so she usually gets colds a lot. Her ears also got infections four times before, middle ear infections, to be specific, especially when she was younger. She also fevers quick and high. When actually sick, she becomes really quiet and apathetic, especially when it’s accompanied by a fever.
29: How do they arrange or decorate their living space? Chyrru spent most of their life either in rented rooms or in tiny airship quarters they shared with Yoccin, so now, that they actually have space of their own, they’re pretty clueless about decorating it. They’d probably just awkwardly hang a painting somewhere, to make it look less bleak and unpersonal.
Sheasa’s room is, uh, a creative chaos (read: a fucking mess), but she does have cleaning fits sometimes (as in, spend three hours rearraging her shit). Her room’s walls are plastered with cute animal baby posters or pictures drawn by her.
The Snarkball:8:Do they eat a healthy diet? A varied one?Shiazz tries really hard to eat healthy, but usually reverts back to shitty junkfood/premade dishes when he’s working a lot. He does cook with fresh ingredients for the family when he has a day off or on the weekend.
14: What are they like when they are drunk?
Drinking slowly vanquishes his brain-to-mouth filter, so he’ll be even more blunt and rude as he already is. Depending on his level up intoxication, he’ll also get sleepy and/or start widly theoreizing about really weird stuff.
The Baby all grown up:
14: What are they like when they are drunk?Sheasa will seldom really drink enough to actually get her drunk, but when she does, she’ll get giggly and chatty, also very touchy-feely. Drunk Sheasa will probably cling to your arm while babbling in astonishing speeds about something you don’t really care about.
ask me stuff too?
