INTRODUCING: OSIRIS!
HOOOO BOOOOYYYYYY HAVE I THOUGHT. AND RETHOUGHT. AND RETHOUGHT AGAIN ABOUT THIS GUY 😭😭😭 mainly because i wasnt sure of his abilities or cultural accuracy or any of that- but im quite confident in him now!! i think.
ANYWAYS CONGRATS TO THE FOLKS WHO VOTED CONTROLLER YYEAYYAAAYAYAHHAHAHA (basic data and fun facts under cut, theres alot so beware!)

EQUIP a short strip of gauze. FIRE to send forward in an arc, ALT FIRE to send forward in the direction of your crosshair. Upon making contact with a surface, spawn a long-lasting smoke sphere that settles after a short period.
[While Funerary Rite is active, enemies caught inside Silence take DoT.]
Q : Barque
EQUIP a shadowy barque construct. FIRE to cloak Osiris in a ghostly orb. In this state, Osiris is Intangible and has increased movement speed, but a faint trail is left behind him. ALT FIRE to start a countdown that triggers Barque upon ending or REUSE.
E : Judgement
EQUIP a golden scale. FIRE to place two glyphs (‘Feather’ and ‘Heart) at different areas. Glyphs will remain invisible and remain inactive until enemy contact. Upon contact, all enemies within radius will be Nearsighted and Deafened. ACTIVATE while your crosshair is over a glyph to instantly trigger its effects.
[If both are triggered, effects take place as normal. If only one is triggered, the radius will increase and enemies will be Concussed.]
X : Funerary Rite
EQUIP to prepare Osiris to remove his bandages. FIRE to undo his bandages entirely, releasing Anubis and entering the Gravedigger state. In the Gravedigger state, Osiris’ primary weapon switches to a scythe with medium range, and his footsteps are mostly silenced. While in a medium range of Osiris, enemies will be Nearsighted.
[Upon activation, previously placed Silence and Judgement are re-triggered for a shorter period. No other abilities are able to be used while Osiris is in this state.]
fun fact: he was initially intended to be a duelist! ive had this guy for literal YEARS sitting on the backburner, it wasn't until recently that i decided to suck it up and give him a proper overhaul :'D this is also the reason for his very duelist-esque ult. i got attached im sorry. (on the bright side, his kit is basically "come and enter site bro i promise i wont jump you")
BASIC LORE
Osahar is born in Esna, Egypt, 15 years before FL.
He takes an interest in history and mythology and pursues a career as a historian (achieved) and museum curator (yet to be achieved)
Upon FL, his Radiant powers awaken, being the ability to sense and commune with spirits/what remains of them.
On a college field trip, he meets and befriends a warrior from the New Kingdom period of Ancient Egypt who calls himself Anubis.
As the years pass, Osahar dedicates his life to academics and uncovering Anubis' past along with it.
Later down the line, in a break-in gone south, Osahar is severely injured in his left arm and torso and nearly bleeds out. Turns out, his spirit-communing powers have shaved away at his soul, rendering it impossible to recover from his injuries that are otherwise healable.
If not for Anubis.
Through a mix of his Radiant abilities, Anubis' strength and their sheer willpower, Osahar is brought back from the dead. Except for one thing...
Due to how weak Osahar's soul is, Anubis takes the lead as the one in control of their body. This, obviously, freaks them out, and they scramble for a solution (which they find in the spell-inscribed, radianite-saturated bandages now used on his left arm).
Post-Paris attack, Cypher scouts Osahar as Agent 30 of VP, both as an agent and as their new archivist.

Fun Facts time :D
Osiris worked a ton of odd jobs during his time in college and university. like a LOT. listen, getting those history degrees, masters and PhD to be a proper egyptologist is no joke especially with how dedicated he is. he's worked as a morgue assistant, a night security guard, and as an intern in like 3 different archaeology and art restoration teams
SPEAKINNG OF ART RESTORATION: he is a huge believer in physical media. he's that one post where its like "paper when preserved properly taked 3 centuries to start disintegrating so lets think twice before abandoning it" he has a restoration kit in his room and everything
and yeah. he too is a grade A yapper. due to his politeness he doesn't tend to ramble but he's super happy to yap and listen to whoever's willing to return conversation!
he will be in the breakroom commenting on a chess game between cypher and phoenix. dropping little facts about the history of chess. gets super excited when someone recognises his facts.
he hasn't cut his hair since, like, middle school dawg he refuses to
unfortunately his spatial awareness is also kinda bad 😭 he bumps his hips and gets his braid stuck in doors too often

he can’t keep a poker face for shit. it’s the main reason he avoids gambling and games that rely on facial/social cues
his default accent is quite neutral, mainly using british pronounciations! when he's casual or panicked his arabic accent shines through more evidently though
gets along quite well with most of the agents, most of the tension between others is just how meek he can be
BIG interest in the artifact holders (astra, harbor, yoru) and wants to befriend them. it’s mostly just for friendship purposes but also for the cool ancient artifacts
often relies on cypher/KJ to help extract data from damaged drives or storage servers im sorry he deals with more physical stuff he’s gonna burn his fingers if you let him near wires
i do actually ship him with someone. but im not telling you who muahahahahahaaha (hint: their beta ship name was lotka-volterra)

smiley's is a clipboard with her earpiece wire for her spy work and info gathering and the pen's ink is flaming, harkening to her lighter
podkin's has the detail from the book's cover and, of course, a rabbit with an injured left ear (the flowers are daisies for his warren)
kim's is a traditional vietnamese headdress (khăn vành dây) with two ribbons, with a bloodied target symbol for her gun + victimization
nine's is a faraway planet with a trail of space dust resembling a nebula, along with one star close to the planet and two further away (nine + ten and juice)
krishna's is two outstretched palms for his compassion with a peacock's feathers in the background, five feathers for fifth reciever
blanc's is a heart collared to a tree branch, for both blanc's past treatment and a reference to his source (specifically the 7th tapestry)
hang tuah's is his keris pointing downwards in front of an unfolded banner, showing his loyalty to his state and his heroics
pierre's is a nautilus shell cradled by a piece of kelp/seagrass for her association with the nautilus ship and the lake itself
