so donald met josé first during the time he was serving in the marines, just the moment where josé had fled brasil and faked his death, so they became friends(donald was very shocked to learn all that)and a few time after that the police was looking for an specific outlaw, so donald and josé ended up in the bar that said man was last seen only to end up meeting panchito who was the outlaw the moment of realization of who he was vv
shenanigans ensued, donald and josé ended up joining him in his journey which got them fame as outlaws themselves which ended up making them bond even deeper and well feelings happened that is the most like resumed version of the events as for how they each parent the triplets is very simple
donald is the most uptight parent, tries to keep them safe to an absurd degree and is the one that does most of the scolding
josé is the more laid back one, rarely worries about stuff and lets the triplets get away with most stuff, and usually has the wisest advice surprisingly
and panchito is the balance between both ends but even more caring and abrupt with hugs and stuff since they are all he has in the world(in contrast to josé that has his family in brasil and sends letters to them and donald's extended family), though sometimes he can get a bit carried away when he teaches them stuff, which may or may not get them all into issues
