You knew you were helping the one in your arms cheat on San, in his own bed even, and yet you could not bring yourself to care in the moment. Tired and sweaty, you clung together and began to drift off.
An unknown amount of time later San came into the room and was surprised to see you two entwined. “You horndog,” he softly exclaimed. Stepping closer, he swept the damp bangs off your forehead then crept back out as quietly as he was able. Finding Wooyoung he reported, “Your hot partner did not go home after all.”
Wooyoung looked up, surprised in multiple ways. “Didn’t know you found them attractive.”
San smiled, “Not like that, good looking as they are, but I just discovered them cuddled up with Shiber in my bed. Running a fever too, so you should get some drinks and plain food while I see what we have in the medicine cabinet to bring a temperature down.”
“You are very understanding, San.”
He shrugged. “It won’t be the first time my stuffed animal has had to go through the wash. Sweat will come out easy enough and if it gives them comfort it is worth it. But, I draw the line at puking. That starts up and Shiber will be rescued. Nobody is going to burn my baby with stomach acid,” he declared with vehemence.
“Pretty sure my beloved would agree with you if they were well enough to discuss it. They have quite a pile of friends in their own bed. It is no wonder they sought yours when feeling low. Thank you for being so generous about it,” Wooyoung added.
“I assume you will be giving me your own bed while you take the couch tonight.”
Wooyoung nodded. “Yes, of course, only fair.”
San looked at his friend. “You like them a lot don’t you?”
“I do. Even the chance to care for them while sick makes my heart happy.”
Watching the glow of Wooyoung’s face while speaking, San could tell it was true and he hoped for his own chance to take care of a loved one some day in the future. For now though, he was content with Shiber, even if Shiber was not always loyal to him.
