A Gintama episode a day keeps the ending away...Episode 35

Technically 1 and 1/2 chapters in one ep...cuz they actually cut out stuff from the latter half of the Eromes miniarc:

MY 7 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN EPISODE 35 (manga chaps 86 and 65):

1) The ShinEro stalkers disguised as Capcom characters (I’m assuming...though I can’t place who Tae-chan’s hat belongs to).

2) How cute are these boys making fun of Matsudaira???

3) Good for Pachi-kun, getting over Eromes so quickly. I also liked that they showed her defeat in widescreen to make it more dramatic.

4) Edo’s assassination squad police force at work.

5) Call me messed up but I just love seeing Sougo threaten people.

6) Hijikata’s windblown hair made him look extra gorgeous and Okita’s vulnerable state made him extra adorable. 

7) He’s so beautiful. I would love him no matter how much mayonnaise he puts on his food (not to mention, kewpie mayo is nowhere as gross as Miracle Whip so I can see why he would like putting it on everything).

SHIPS TALLY: 

Hijikata x Okita: they had cute interactions in both episodes, and I loved that Okita was asking Hijikata to save him when he was about to fly off the roller coaster.

Shichibee x Kuriko: too bad she dumped him because I actually thought they were perfect for each other...and Shichibee reminded me of Kondou. Kinda wanted this younger, probably stupider and less noble version of Kondou to get his happy ending. 

Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just completely unbelievably amazing.  It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s immense generosity that I am able enjoy Gintama on an extra another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.
