When Shilen was younger he got into a argument with his former kismesis, which resulted in him cutting off his own hand to prove a point.

They argued about how he rarely shows emotions even in serious situations. He stitched his hand back on as soon as his point was made and a tattoo now covers the scar.

I don’t think I ever mentioned it but Shilen has psiconics. He doesn’t use them because he accidentally killed his moirail testing them out.

This is why he secretly hates himself and thinks he’s a monster. It’s also why he has 4 unofficial, official moirails (but he only told one of them what happened. They keep him from going insane.

I always forget that Shilen is also a tattoo artist so it would make sense for him to have sketch books and shit everywhere

Random thought: Some of Shilen's tattoos are inspired by the patterns his mate embroidered on him at one point and he just couldn't get rid of.

Even though the scars on his face are healed he keeps the stitches in for the aesthetic. Since he has such a high pain tolerance he does this often, taking out and putting stitches back in. Maybe, once a week or every other week.

Now his mate being a seamstress and designer, i imagine her often doing embroidery work on him when she’s stuck on something or wants to try out a new pattern. It wouldn’t hurt him and he wouldn’t mind it one bit. Just them talking like they normally would, while she stitches patterns into him. He’d probably walk around happily showing off what his mate put on him until they had to come out.

Shilen is the type that would give you a puppy or kitten if you were depressed and tell you to get over it. And he'd still have that deadpan expression. ' Here's a puppy, whatever your sad about suck it up and get over it.

Shilen's harem isn't necessarily trolls he would diddle then and let live. A majority of them are just 'You're small and need help i'll protect you'

All the stitches on Shilen's face and neck are real. The ones on his cheecks hold his face together, the one over his eye and neck are decorative. The rest that are visible are tattoos.
