I know it’s a few days late but happiest of birthdays, Stella (@shimmerleaf)!!! I was working during last few days and couldn’t make you a birthday card in time. Sorry about that! Keiiii~ Hope you won't mind me asking for a match up ^^ Male HQ and KHR please. 4'8 INFP shy&socially awkward around strangers, esp guys. I get nervous and worry about things easily, and having to speak to people always makes me anxious. I tend to cry easily and am kinda emotional. I can get loud and talkative around my friends though and I like teasing them. I find stupid things funny and laugh easily. I fangirl a lot when watching anime/gaming, and I like to write/read fanfics~ Thank you <33

Yaku Morisuke (Haikyuu!!): With the nine-inch difference between you both, you make him feel pretty tall; and it’s not-so-secret that he revels in having a small and adorable girlfriend. His confidence and straightforwardness nicely balances your more demure demeanor and you can bet that he won’t ever hesitate to speak up on your behalf. While he’d be concerned about your anxiety, he’s glad that you let yourself cry. Better to let those feelings out than to bottle them up inside. 

He’s not a big fan of being teased, but he’ll put up with it if it’s from you. And if you’re teasing someone else, it’s likely that he’ll join you. Overall, he’d try to encourage you to have more confidence from time to time and would find your ‘fangirl’ moments to be quite adorable; though it does make him quite jealous from time to time.

Inuoka Sou (Haikyuu!!): He’s drawn to your meek nature, though at first it’s just pure curiosity on his part. Why is he always noticing this small and cute girl everywhere? Has she been watching him play? Should he try talking to her? Honestly, he wouldn’t even realize how awkward you actually are (since it’s not like he’s exactly ‘normal’ by social standards either), and given that he’s full of sunshine and cheer, it wouldn’t take long for him to get you to open up a bit. 

He’d probably initially respond with minor panicking/confusion whenever your nerves kick in or if you start crying, but he’d quickly put in his best efforts to cheer you up. He loves it when you laugh, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he tried to make it a goal to get you to laugh at least once every day. 

Fortunately for you, he’s pretty upfront about his feelings and whatnot so you hardly ever have to guess about things when it comes to him. That gives you one less thing to worry about in the end. Being the pretty hyperactive guy he is, it’s not hard for him to find something else to occupy himself with whenever you’re gaming by yourself, but you can bet that he’ll get curious whenever you start fangirling. He also loves seeing you get excited, and in his case, excitement is pretty contagious (though he’ll wonder why he doesn’t feel as fired up whenever you start talking about other boys).

Yamamoto Takeshi (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!): His laid-back and friendly attitude makes it pretty hard not to get along with him. He’d be pretty patient with you and will usually reassure you kindly whenever you’re feeling down or nervous. It’s nearly impossible to stay feeling down around this guy. He gets a bit difficult to understand whenever he’s excited and he can certainly be more than a little oblivious sometimes, but his heart is in the right place and he’d definitely try to be good to you. 

Since he’s such a nice guy and all, it’s likely he’ll become friends with your friends as well. He’d definitely like seeing the more open and interactive side of you and might even tease you about it from time to time. He also doesn’t mind you fangirling over anime or video games since he thinks you’re pretty cute when you do. So long as you aren’t just leaving him on the side-bench all the time, he'd be happy.

 TYL!Irie Shouichi (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!): He’s not exactly the most confident or social guy around so he would definitely relate with you. Especially since you both have issues with anxiety. The two of you could help each other overcome your inner demons. He’s a pretty smart guy, but it’d be good for him to loosen up sometimes (especially since he makes a bad habit out of overworking himself from time to time), and seeing as how you’re not exactly the type to put pressure on others (plus you’re pretty small and it’d be hard to consider you intimidating) as well as the fact that you can relate to and tease him, you’d be a pretty good candidate. 

The fact that you’re both a bit similar in the personality department would subconsciously make him want to step up from time to time. Not just to impress you (though let’s be honest, he’s tried and failed a few times in that regard), but also because he wouldn’t want more of his pessimism and anxiety to rub off on you. He’d realize it after hearing you laugh for the first time (I’m almost certain it was at his expense); that he wants you to just keep laughing. 

He’s got some experience in programming and whatnot so since you seem to enjoy yourself when you’re playing video games, he might try to create some MODs for you to play with as well after you’ve finished up with them. He’s very fond of music, and since he dreamed of becoming a musician at one point, he might let you listen to him practice sometimes. The fact that you both seem to be the indoor types is also a good plus.

Yaku can't help but feel like a creep sitting on his girlfriend's lawn, hidden in the shadows so no one would see him. Occasionally, he would check the time on his phone to see what time it is, and the glow illuminates his face. He raises his head and stayed focused on the street in front of him.

A few hours ago, it was sunny and bright, the sky clear, and the wind at a standstill. The restaurants and malls were filled with couples, all of which were simply spending time with each other. The real celebrations started in the evenings though, but this year, he wasn't able to do that since work conflicted them. Good thing too - he was about to go nuts when he was unable to find a place to make a reservation. Then the whole family emergency threw him off his game and he has midterms to study for...

He checks the time again. Unless his girlfriend got off late, she should be here by now. Today has been nothing but surprises, he thought. He isn't fond of surprises - unlike his girlfriend. She loved them. It depends on the execution though.

He checks the time once more and then stands. He sees someone walking down the sidewalk, turning onto the path leading to the building. It's her, right? It's too dark for him to tell but no one else would walk in alone on an evening like this.

"Stella-chan."

You raise your head, noticing Yaku, who is standing right in front of you. Where did he even come from? Was he waiting here this whole time? "Yakkun? Why are you here?"

"I can't let you spend Valentine's Day alone," he says with a smile. "Besides, I never even said happy birthday, just happy Valentine's Day, so I'm going to say it now." He reveals the bouquet of flowers he was hiding behind his back, a myriad of colors adorning the flowers. Not a single one was a rose. "Happy Birthday, Stella-chan."

He leans forward to give you a light kiss, smiling at the blush in your cheeks. "I have other motives for coming tonight too," he says. "I want to have a slice of your cake too. You can't hog it all to yourself and your family. Hope you don't mind sharing."

"You're always invited."

"That's good to hear." He reaches out to guide you to the door. "Eventually, I'm going to show up at your door with a bouquet and ring. You think you'll invite me in when that happens?"

You don't have an answer so you don't say anything. He's teasing, of course, but it'll happen someday.

Someday. Just go enjoy your cake already.

Nekoma’s Christmas

Pairing: none Word count: 974 Summary: Kuroo suggests for Nekoma to throw a Christmas party and exchange gifts. But not everyone is satisfied with what they got... Links: ff || ao3 Inspired by: Haikyuu!! Christmas CD drama Dedicated to: @shimmerleaf (Merry Christmas!!!)

"We are having a Christmas party with the team," Kuroo announced the moment he stepped in Kenma's room. "Naturally, you are coming, too."

Kenma didn't even bother to look up from the game he was playing on his handheld console.

"No," was Kenma's short and simple reply.

"Oh come, Kenma," Kuroo crossed his arms and leaned against the door. "Me, Yaku and Kai are going to retire after the nationals. It's a chance for all of us enjoy ourselves before nationals begin. It will be fun."

Kenma pondered for a few moments. Kuroo certainly had a good point, so Kenma just sighted and Kuroo's face instantly brightened.

"Oh and by the way, don't forget to bring some present," Kuroo said before leaving. Kenma nodded but said nothing.

The whole Nekoma team gathered in their club room on a day before Christmas Eve and everyone put their presents under the Christmas tree. After everyone was done, Kuroo spoke again.

"And now you go one after one and pick any random present. The first present you take is yours," he explained walking around the club room while talking. "I will be the first one."

Kuroo took one present from under the Christmas tree. Yaku went right after him. Others shrugged but also followed. Eventually everyone grabbed something for themselves and sat down. Lev was the most excited out of them all and was ready rip out his present at any moment but Kuroo chided him.

"Now, let's have patience, my children."

"Who are you calling children?! I'm few months older than you!" Yaku began yelling which prompted Kai to speak up, too.

"Let's just unwrap our presents one at the time and see what each of us got."

Everyone agreed and Lev was granted permission to unwrap his present. It was a small package, so Lev unwrapped it very quickly. When he saw what he got, his eyes began sparkling.

"IT'S SO CUTE!!!"

The present Lev got turned out to be a lucky cat statue.

Fukunaga quietly muttered "You're welcome" and Lev literally lunged himself at his smaller senpai saying "thank you" non-stop. Lev let go of Fukunaga only when Yaku kicked him. Kuroo laughed at the whole thing.

Inuoka was sitting next to Lev, so it was decided that he will be the next one to open his present. It turned out to be "Pokemon Sun".

"Thank you very much, Kenma-san!" Inuoka said happily. "I was actually saving up for it!"

Kenma nodded and gave a small smile.

"You are welcome."

Yaku was next. He unwrapped his present and then just stared not sure how to feel. He got a knit pair of socks. The socks were nice and most likely warm but way too big for him.

"How do you like them, Yaku-san?" Lev asked enthusiastically. "These were knit by my grandma! She knit me several pairs, so I decided to give one to someone. Ah, but you are probably too small to wear them, Yaku-san."

At first Yaku listened to Lev's babbling rather calmly but then Lev insulted his height, so Yaku quickly rose on his feet and kicked Lev again.

Shibayama was next. He carefully unwrapped his present. But poor boy got disappointed as soon as he his present. It was some girls fashion magazine.

"Ahh they all are so cute!" Yamamoto, who was sitting right next to Shibayama, said dreamily.

Shibayama sighed but said nothing. Clearly he and Yamamoto had different ideas on what is a good Christmas present.

Yamamoto was next. Pretty much like Lev, he got a statue, however his was a small shiba inu statue.

Inuoka nervously scratched his cheek.

"Umm, it was on discount and since I didn't know who will get it, I thought it would be nice."

"It's nice, thanks!" Yamamoto assured his teammate who felt great relief after hearing these words.

It was Kai's turn next. His present was wrapped rather neatly, so Kai took care while unwrapping it. And he was not disappointed. Kai got a new pair of knee pads. Sure, they were clearly from a cheaper brand but still a very good present. Shibayama timidly raised is hand.

"Umm, these are from me. The store I frequent had some Christmas discounts, so I thought they will be useful for anyone."

Kai smiled warmly at the young libero.

"Thank you, Shibayama. That's very thoughtful of you."

Shibayama clearly feeling embarrassed that he was praised by his senpai averted his eyes to the ground and quietly muttered "you're welcome".

Finally it was Kuroo's turn. He grinned happily and quickly unwrapped his present. His smile disappeared when he saw what was inside the package.

"What is this?" he asked loudly, sounding clearly annoyed.

"A present," answered Yaku, also sounding annoyed.

The present in question was a CD with Christmas songs plus some Christmas lights.

"You call that a present?!" Kuroo rose on his feet.

"Got a problem with that?! It's Christmas, so my present fits!" Yaku did the same.

While Kuroo and Yaku were bickering over the present Yaku gave Kuroo, Kenma and Fukunaga opened their presents. Kenma found out that he got several taiyaki meanwhile Fukunaga ended up with a knit scarf and a hat.

"Well, I guess it's clear who bought what..." Kenma said and seeing that Kuroo and Yaku were still arguing, Kenma and Shibayama took one taiyaki each and retreated from the circle to find some peace and quiet.

After finally getting resolved his argument with Yaku, Kuroo suggested everyone sing Jingle Bells but Lev and Inuoka were the only ones willing to sing so the plan was cancelled. The team stayed in the club for a little longer before eventually going home.

"Kuro," said Kenma on the way home.

"What is it?"

"Your present kinda sucks, too," Kenma said and went inside his house leaving stunned Kuroo outside.

"WHAAAT?!"

5 Things I (Sorta) Like About Myself

1. I never forget my friends. I’ll fall out of contact sometimes because life can be a real drag, but I always come back to them, and best of all; they always welcome me back. <3 If I call you ‘friend’, know that to me, you’re worth a very big fraction of everything in existence. I love you guys. (I can’t say each friend is worth everything because that defies the concept of a whole.)

2. I never let myself stay down for too long. I’ve only recently come to admire my own determination, because honestly, I had always just accepted it as normal and simply a part of me. But in reality, I’m proud of myself for coming this far, and I’m grateful to everyone who’s supported me along the way. I couldn’t have made it if I just gave up.

3. I’m generally open-minded. I personally think getting upset/frustrated at every little thing would be exhausting and more trouble than it’s worth, so I’m glad I don’t let all of the little things get to me. Plus keeping an open-mind means there’s more things I can accept into my life, and the more the merrier.

4. I can be independent. Sure, it’s nice to get help here and there, but there’s nothing quite like the feeling of accomplishment after you finish something; all by yourself. Haha. 

5. I have a sense of humor. I’m not trying to bash on people who think they don’t (but c’mon, everyone has to smile or something at some point), but I just think that laughing makes everything better. Smiling, too. It certainly makes me feel better every time. And it’s scientifically proven. Don’t argue with science.

I kinda feel like I’m overselling myself with all of this, but these are my honest thoughts XD Thanks again, Stella! <3
