Ike Jinja Shrine (池神社) in Shimokitayama (下北山村), Nara Prefecture: dedicated especially to rites for rainfall, allegedly founded by the ascetic En no Gyōja (役行者) according to the shrine’s own signboard, and enshrining the goddess Ichikishima Hime no Mikoto (市杵嶋姫命)

April 5 - hip-hop dancing kids at the sakura festival.
I think at least half of them were my students, but since I don’t often teach 1st-4th grade at my elementary schools, I didn’t recognize most of them. Luckily, many of them told me they saw me at the festival the next time I saw them at school.
