The woman shook her head as she shoved her hands further into her coat pockets. She was fortunate enough to have dressed warm for a cold out, she felt absolute pity for Shin however, she knew he lived out in the woods mostly, and he was constantly exposed to all elements 24/7. “I’m content, but I can tell you’re not. You wanna stay the night at my flat? I have heating and extra blankets. I don’t want you out here freezing to death.” She didn’t mind offering the man a place to stay, he had done it for her many times. She had since fount a place to rent out that was rather quaint and homey. It had taken some time but she offered her landlord free protection for a lesser fee for her services. “You’ve offered me your hospitality when I was less than worthy, it’s the least I can do.”

She chuckled, it had, indeed, been a long while since they had seen and spoken to each other.

“Oh Shin, you act like I can just leave this lifestyle. Once you’re inducted into the position of a hired gun.. it isn’t as simple as you may think it is to just leave.” While no evidence of her exists, her face is known by individuals everywhere around the globe. She was wanted for hire, and she was wanted dead. There was never an in between. 

She did miss the mans company at times, although he was more of a naturalist, she found that he was a bearable human to be around. 

“It endearing to know you’ll allow me to stay here.. but you and I both know I’ll be doing this until I end up dead.”

“I was.. I just wanted to stop by and see you first.” The woman offered Shin a gentle smile as she leaned slightly against the entrance of his small cottage. “I couldn’t leave without seeing you first.”

The woman shook her head as she chuckled. “I’m touched that after all this time, and throughout my random bouts of almost killing you... that you still deem me as attractive. You’re not that bad yourself.” She slightly brought her sleeve covered palm to his face and attempted to brush the soot from his face. “Ya know, you could find yourself a nice girl.. or guy.. I don’t judge.. if ya cleaned up a bit.”

“So uhh Shin.. would you, by chance.. know if there are any animal shelters around town? You tend to frequent the streets more often than me.” She didn’t quite know how to go about asking the man about the location of an animal shelter, she had known Shin for quite a while, but she never really let him know that she had a soft spot for animals.. that and the time she spent in her apartment alone was catching up to her.
