continued from here: @shincbi Taken a bite into the food that was placed in front of her, when he asked that question. Anilith nodded her head, chewing through her food first before speaking. “Yeah! I own this little shop. It’s closed while I’m on break. I’m surprised you know about it.”She was surprised that someone actually remembered the shop. “And thank you for the food. I appreciate it. I was a bit hungry.” she added as she took another bite from it. “What kind of art?” Not that she would care if he had stolen it because she’s stolen a few things here and there, but it be nice to know what he was trained in.
@shincbi asked "So you're the ne I'm told shares my birthday. Not what I expected."
" nani...? " who was this guy? she didn't recognize him at all, but he obviously must have known of her in some way...so, they shared a birthday, huh? normally, she'd be pretty thrilled to meet someone with the same birthday as her, but she was just...A TAD ANNOYED, at present. " and what were you expecting? someone with AS ILL AN ATTITUDE as you? "

-Hikari knew that there would be certain, heart breaking worry from her grandparents at the fact that she wouldn’t return home. Hikari knew, deep down, that the best thing for herself, as well as them, to do; was to get back on the trail as quickly as possible and return back to the Otsu estate.
Hikari knew all this as she hesitantly, yet continuously, glanced towards this stranger. This man clad in garbs she couldn’t name, yet saw intrigue within. This man who, exactly as he said, didn’t have the eyesight to look after her. --But Hikari never had felt she needed that – not truly.-
-Perhaps because she was naive and young.-
-Perhaps because she simply was stupid and too trusting.-
-(There certainly was a lot from her past to attest to such a claim.)-
“… I think there’s something to be gained from company,”-she would try, her voice light and airy and hesitant because she didn’t exactly know how to approach a voice that held such… distain. That carried a tone of such authority. But she also didn’t wish to cower before it, for it felt as though that would do nothing but make it worse. Despite it all, she shifts on her two feet by the habit of always feeling like she had to do something with herself.
Her hands cup her elbows, even as she takes a step towards him.- “I- I don’t mean to imply that I know you but… You seem like you might need it.”
“… Someone, rather.”
-Perhaps because Hikari liked to think of herself as strong, despite it all.-
“And, like you say… You leave at daylight, and so what’s a few hours with me as company compared to- Compared to the rest of your life?”
“Fate is a fucking lie.”
@shincbi (continued from ask)
“Fate? Hmph as if anyone with a brain cell would believe in such superstitious garbage.”
No, it’s something you create on your own with the shit life decides to deal you. To ever consider her death as some whim of fate would cause his mind to snap even more, to seek out the dealer of fate and snap their neck in his bare hands.
But he didn’t tune into such drivel, “Unless the fate you’re referring to is the irony of us mirroring one another. Then it’s actually a tad bit funny, all things considering.”
“Thinking I was meant for greatness caused me to take the worst decisions of my life so I’m very much healed from that... But I’m still not sure I want to believe in coincidences.”
Though he guessed the two of them were different enough, even in their similarities, so maybe their encounter really was just some strange stroke of luck. Looking at the other man’s scar, Lorenz felt almost grateful Kobalt’s Honchkrow clawed out his eye so cleanly.
“You know what I’m sure does exist, though? Karma.”
“I woke up from the same dream: falling backwards, falling backwards.”
Angela’s brows furrowed as she listened to his words. A hand rose to gently rest on his shoulder, concern evident in her gaze. She wasn’t sure what to say, how to console him, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to try, she cared about him after all. “You said zhe ‘same dream’? So zhis is reoccurring?”
She idly wondered why he hadn’t told her of this sooner, but she supposed it was better late than never. “Vhen did it start?” Perhaps it was because of the cybernetics? It could have been messing with something neuro wise? But she doubted it would cause such a dream, still...it didn’t hurt to look into that as a possibility.

💀
send a 💀 for my muse to die in your muse's arms.
It was a question she’d been asked in passing once or twice by those who were concerned about her, ‘Who takes care of the caregiver?’. The answer? No one. Or at least, that’s what she’d responded with, followed by ‘I do not need anyone to take care of me.’, though it seemed like she did now...though it was late, much too late for her. Blood seeped past her fingertips, crimson hues staining her Valkyrie suit. She couldn’t help but feel regret--not because of what she’d done to end up in this state, but that she hadn’t done more to help others before this had occurred. She knew this was a possibility from the beginning, medics didn’t seem to have a long shelf life, the longer she served on the front lines the higher the odds she would meet her demise on them...she just hadn’t expected it to become a reality so soon.
Azure hues tried to remained focused on the figure that had kept her from bleeding out on the ground, alone. Genji, of all people, would be seeing her in her final moments. It was almost ironic. She’d seen him in his last moments before he’d become a cyborg, and now he was seeing her in her last moments...though there was no ‘second chance’ for her.
A weak smile appeared on her features, even now she was glad that--if it had been between the two of them--she had been the one to get fatally wounded instead of him. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t do more for you, Genji...” She whispered, the words came out slowly, as if she had to focus extremely hard on even getting them to come out. The doctor closed her eyes, drawing in a couple more shaky breaths before...nothing.

Send me 🔪 to stab my muse.
Angela drew in a sharp breath, hand moving to the wound Genji--of all individuals--had created. Blue eyes shifted to his mask, trying to search it for any sign of the expression that lay beneath, but of course she wasn’t able to discern anything. “Genji..” Her voice was barely audible. “Vhy?”
