It KILLS me when girls don't think they're beautiful -
I honestly don't know how many ways or different examples I can say it. It's honestly time for female empowerment. I get so sick of girls bashing their own selves on how they're "ugly" and "god-awful hideous." What is it with people not finding the true beauty within themselves? I cry because I can't help that young girl or young woman look inside them, and see what really counts on the inside. I'm tired of girls cutting themselves, putting themselves down, smoking, drinking, and partaking in actions to help make themselves feel better about how they're feeling, or for a matter of fact - justifying their self pity.
I really think it's time for women EVERYWHERE to unite, and relish in the beauty we were made with. I go outside and look at the women today and say, "Look how beautiful we are. Look at how we've changed the world." The media has so royally screwed what the true definition of "beauty" really is. Girls today can't even go outside without wearing a lick of makeup. To me, I think natural beauty is always the best beauty. Because girls wear makeup everyday, they've trained themselves to see the mask they put on their face, rather than their own. It's almost like a bunch of walking Crayola crayons. SURE, you can put on makeup if you attend a special event, something formal, or out with friends to have fun. But having to wear makeup before BED? To EAT DINNER WITH YOUR FAMILY? To ANSWER THE DOOR? Like...really? That's so sad, honestly. It's sad to the point, that you can't even find an answer to explain the astounding sadness of the whole situation.
I just think girls need to just learn to accept themselves, and NOT the Covergirl commercial, NOT the Loreal commercial, NOT the models, BUT THEMSELVES.
Whatever happened to wearing the classy dresses, the classy heels, the timeless hairstyles, and looking the true meaning of beauty? It's turned into the sky high stripper kitten heels, derriere revealing shorts, too tight bras, over-exaggerated makeup, teased hair, and stick-thin bodies. Who knew beauty, and the way you carry yourself turned into something so careless.....
POINT IS - WHOEVER is reading this, young or old, small/medium-sized/large/, black/white/yellow/purple/pink/, insecure or not, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
I honestly don't know how I can re-iterate this to you all...but you are. I sit here and cry as I write this, because I can't help any of you. You know why? Because it starts with YOU, YOURSELF. I know everyone has their own opinion of what "beauty" is to them, but I'm just saying what I think it truly means. I hope you all will actually make that one step to feeling that self confidence and knowing that you are beautiful in every single way. Don't let what others say, the media say, your friends say, or ANYONE say who you are. YOU define who you are. YOU write your story. You are YOUnique and your own person. You're beautiful. Don't change for anyone. If you're lucky enough to be different, STAY THAT WAY.
You were born an original. Don't die a copy.
Sending all my love and confidence to you.
