‘do you get acid reflux sometimes so you drink soda just to feel something too?’ to be clear, this is delivered as a joke. completely unprompted, but a joke. there’s a smile on his face and a supposed light tone, but the pleading in danny’s eyes say otherwise. relate to me, they cry, help! my body is eating itself from the inside out! just give us some water! please! his smile remains unwavering.
