Human version of the Seer (she starts using that after escaping from the village that workshipped her) + two more characters from the story i’m working on that are currently unnamed, all three of them are celestial beings.

The one on the left is a cartographer working directly for the Midlands’ king and the one on the right is the feared immortal commander of the king’s army (has been for the past 200 years and counting)

Lilith is literally just the personification of the relationship i have with my city: i hate it here!!! I want to go away!!! I feel trapped!!! Every time i walk in the city centre i can feel its walls closing down on me and suffocating me and not letting me breathe. I genuinely can't wait until i move away from here. But I'm trying oh so hard to love it more, to appreciate this place so that the last years i spend here before moving away are not filled by hatred but by love. It's not the city itself that i hate as it is objectively a very nice city and i like it's architecture but i spent so many horrible years of my life in this place that I've started associating it with pain and every single corner of this city has been tainted by bad memories.

And I'm trying so hard to explore new places and associate them with good memories and I'm somewhat succeeding as I'm starting to love this city more and more (it's a slow process) and I'm not filled anymore by pure hatred about it. At least i can brag about that, 10+ years of hating this city suddenly gone in just a year.

Anyway that's how Lilith feels about Earth lol

"how did The Seer lose her memories?"

You'd think i would have thought about the reasons for one of the main plot points but i didn't, still have to come up for it.

Maybe she discovered something she shouldn't have, we'd love some shady space government, light rays are somewhat of a royalty back on the main planets so it wouldn't be hard for her to discover political secrets someone would want to keep hidden.

Even better if after erasing her memories, you'd be able to send her to a nobody planet who no one cares about! She'd never be found there and she definitely wouldn't be able to come back home as she wouldn't even remember she's a celestial being. And even if she does remember, space is huge, how would she find her way back home?

Earth is a peripheral planet compared to the ones that are inhabited by celestial beings: it first got inhabited because of its favourable conditions but because of the distance from the main planets + the sheer amount of time it took to get to them, it slowly became more and more unpopular and the majority of the CB moved back to their original planets as it simply wasn't worth it.

Moving from one place of the galaxy to another is a big thing!! Only a specific type of celestial being is able to make that journey in a sustainable amount of time: light rays (the personification of, so Ester!).

Neither Lilith nor Phebe are light rays and have to rely on portals made by LRs to move from one planet to another (especially with planets that far away from each other): during the en masse exodus away from Earth, they erroneously got left behind and they ended up being stranded on Earth. They both tried to send messages through space in the hopes someone will be able to receive them, and come get them, but alas, to no success.

Phebe eventually accepts their condition and starts fully adapting to living on Earth and conducting a life there, but Lilith never lost hope and believes one day, she will be able to go back home.

Ester lost her memory and does not know that she's a Light Ray, and definitely doesn't know how to open portals, so let's say Lilith's hopes and dreams upon seeing her got shattered in a million tiny pieces

Short summary of the story. Ester is the human version of The Seer, the Seer is some sort of celestial being who ended up on earth and lost her memories, she’s called The Seer by the people who based a religion on her but she prefers to go by Ester. She started exclusively going by that name after she escaped from the village that workshipped her.

Lilith and Phebe are also celestian beings who ended up being stranded on Earth: they are respectively the personifications of black holes and the Sun, and their powers reflect those affiliations. Ester is the personification of a light ray. They’ve been on Earth for centuries and watched civilization grow, Ester on the other hand ended up on Earth 1 or 2 centuries before year 0, so not as long.

Lilith and Phebe are both at the service of the Midlands’ king: Lilith is the royal cartographer, job that she decided to undertake as an excuse to get the royals to pay for her various trips around Earth (being an immortal doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay transit sob), while Phebe is the feared immortal commander of the king’s army, she has been for the past 200 years. She loves the thrill of the battle field and never backs down from a fight. The two of them are each other’s only family.

Ester after escaping from the village that found and eventually workshipped her, started exploring various places on the planet and make various experiences: she ended up being a pirate, she worked with a blacksmith where she created an everlasting lantern that would never die, got accused of witchcraft for that and escaped from the town before they burned her, and lived from town to town with various small jobs here and there. After centuries of doing so she landed in a convent where she decided to make herself a nun for the free room and board and decided to retire there until it was too suspicious the fact she wasn’t aging. The convent is where Lilith eventually found her, after she got sent there by the king to map those territories.
