The Shining Skull (Location)
Alehouse in Langerigg.
Owners: Astra Staff: Gils (Dishwasher) Time: Located in: Langerigg, King Brosa's realm
The most prized possession of the Shining Skull inn is an enchanted human skull. The whole skull glows softly, and it shines two bright beams of light from its eye sockets.
Legend has it that one of the founders of the village of Langerigg, a young woman, was given this skull by a powerful witch. Anyone rightfully carrying the skull would not be harassed by the witch or any of her minions.
The skull now sits in a niche above the counter of the alehouse. It's also features on its signboard.

Can't really go wrong with a German stereotype in a skull mask and pickelhaube. He even has a badly translated name! :D

Jefre Cantu-Ledesma - Music From The Headlands Center For The Arts
A slightly different update to my norm but this is a gargantuan release of music and I felt it would merit a collective post about the series rather than individual updates. JCL released SEVEN new bits on his Shining Skull Bandcamp. Seven. I can barely do seven of anything regardless of the timescale. Good lad.
Music From The Headlands Center For The Arts, Volume One - Another Void by Jefre Cantu-Ledesma
I'm going to post Volume One - Another Void because that feels like the sane place to start. The series is a collection of very cerebral sounding ambient, drone and experimental electronics made while working alongside installation artist Paul Clipson (a regular collaborator with JCL). Heady stuff.
Volume One - Another Void
Volume Two - Disappear
Volume Three - Wild River
Volume Four - A World Apart
Volume Five - The Burnt House
Volume Six - Archaic Torso
Volume Seven - Gift Of Tongues
All seven parts are available now as limit CDRs and digital via Bandcamp.
