I'm going to have to do that to my Asami wig. Soo not looking forward to it. I feel your pain T.T

We actually ended up giving up and are going to start from scratch. I didn’t realize that it was a giant rat’s nest underneath, and since the wig is made of two wigs...yikes. It would have taken many days to comb that beast out.

For the cosplay ask thing: 1, 8, 17? :D

1. One of your best cosplay memories?

Hmmm. Debuting troll Rose at Sakuracon and being excitedly greeted by tons of people was really really great. Winning that costume competition in Neptune last summer was so exciting and I was just over the moon, everyone was incredibly nice!

8. What are some of the most memorable comments you’ve received on your cosplays?

Two come to mind right away - last Sakuracon I encountered a lady who recognized my grimdark Rose from Geekgirlcon the autumn prior and was SO EXCITED to see me. I wish I’d gotten her contact information, it was so nice!! And when I debuted Neptune at last year’s Sakuracon, someone at the Sailor Moon shoot told me my skirt was on point. That’s really stuck with me.

17. Ever had any interactions with kid while you’ve been in cosplay?

I had a group of kids who were super excited about my Jade cosplay and wanted to touch my ears, so cute. I let them button my hood up and pet the fur.

Omg yesssssssss!! That would be super adorable! I’m already super excited for this year’s Utena group! (I’ll probably wear Nanami or Shiori to add to the variety)

And thanks! I’ll probably be crying to you/Azu/Megan/Every other Utena cosplayer I know asking how you all how to become the duelist of my dreams. I love how we’re switching off as far as uniforms go haha.

3. favorite anime character

Gah…I hate picking favorites because I change my opinion all the time. But for today, I’ll go with Alphonse from Full Metal Alchemist. He’s a tragic character, but still amazingly sweet, thoughtful and positive. And just adorable - I know hugging a suit of armor seems crazy - but I’d hug him.

4. least favorite anime character

This one is thankfully easy because I answered it for another ask. Light from Death Note. I just can’t stand him.

12. anime that should get more attention from others

Toyko Godfathers. It’s just…so good. Funny, poignant and enjoyable. Definitely check it out if you haven’t yet.

Revolutionary Girl Utena:

The first character I fell in love with: Utena

The character who is my ‘baby’: Anthy or Nanami

The character who I do not understand: I didn’t really get what Keiko’s damage was

The character that I think the show ruined: hmmm, I feel like they could have fleshed out Saionji’s character more? He was my least fav member of the student council

The most attractive male and female character: Akio and Kozue 

The character death that was the worst for me: Mikage. That’s when I knew this show was messed up but also REALLY GOOD

The character that is the most like me: I feel like a weird mix of Juri, Wakaba, Utena, Mitsuru and Shiori? idk these characters are all so relatable

The character I think the writer(s) love: Shiori’s apparently one of Ikuhara’s favorites and I’m totally ok with that

The character that I just want to be happy: ALL OF THEM

My four favorite characters, past or present: Anthy, Nanami, Utena, Miki

My four least favorite characters, past or present: uhh, I don’t really have least faves except for Saionji

Yugioh:

The first character I fell in love with: I was legit in love with both Yami Yugi and Mai when I was 7

The character who is my ‘baby’: Malik Ishtar + All of the Yugi friendship squad

The character who I do not understand: Yami Bakura. I like that it’s been over 11 years and everyone’s still debating on what the hell he actually was

The character that I think the show ruined: the way the anime cut out a lot of scenes with Ryou in them made me sad, (and I’m not even going to talk about how awful s4 was for everyone’s characters that was terrible)

The most attractive male and female character: Ryuji (aka Duke Devlin aka dice boy) and Ishizu

The character death that was the worst for me: Ruka? idk he’s the only one I can think of that died lmao

The character that is the most like me: Jounouchi (Joey)

The character I think the writer(s) love: Jounouchi again?

The character that I just want to be happy: The Ishtar siblings

My four favorite characters, past or present:  Malik, Ishizu, Yugi, Jounouchi, Mai, Bakura (whoops that’s more than four)

My four least favorite characters, past or present: All the anime filler villains I guess? Mainly because I felt like the anime would have been better without any fillers
