Shinkouhyou (Houshin Engi)

Here are a bunch of gifs I made for my favorite Houshin Engi character, Shinkouhyou, because I love him so much! ♥️🐈‍⬛

Just recently noticed this...

This is Alastor from Hazbin Hotel.

This is Shinkohyo from Houshin Engi (Hakyuu HE and Senkaiden HE versions in terms of design.)

Both have in common:

* They’re ONE of the most powerful beings in their respective series, but there are still those who are still stronger than they are and both are cautious about that.

* Because they’re so powerful, they get bored easily since hardly anyone can match up against them, so they seek entertainment even if it means many suffer for it. (Though with Shinko, it’s not that he thinks the suffering is entertaining. It’s merely he likes drama and that happens to include some form of misery involved. He doesn’t actively seek people’s misery. Just a good fight or drama. While Alastor thinks other’s failures and misery is funny.)

* Both have messed up moral compasses. Alastor wouldn’t hurt a kid but if they can talk, walk and eat on their own, screw em! They can take care of themselves! Shinkouhyou in the manga, once angrily snapped at two princes for being dependent and for forsaking their father, when both are younger than 12 and if they stayed at the palace, the main villain would have had both of them killed. 

* Both are classy and have a sense of style. They also will punish anyone who mocks them or otherwise cramps their style. (Shinko does this in the beginning of Hakyuu and the manga to the main character Taikoubou. Al does this to Sir Pent in the end. Sir Pent basically threw off Al’s groove and interrupted his song.)

* Both of their respective victims somehow survive their wrath. Though Shin’s case, he didn’t use his full power and thought killing Tai would be wasteful after he gains some respect for Tai for not dodging his attack. Sir Pent just lived because only an angel’s weapon can kill a demon.

And lastly, both are friends with giant, flying, talking cats!
