Got anymore HC of our fav poly relationship? (Shinobaimitsu)
I'm about to go on a plane for the first time ever so here are my headcanons on what I think Shinobamitsu would be like when flying.
Mitsuri's never flown anywhere before because it's ways been easier to just travel by car due to how big her family is, plus it's much less expensive. She has a bit of flight anxiety because of it, however, she's mostly just worried about somehow losing her passport or her luggage being too big/heavy or missing her flight somehow. She's not too worried about the actual flying part itself.
Shinobu has been on a plane quite a few times, mostly for school and business trips. She always has everything planned out to the very last detail and is overly prepared. She measures and weighs her luggage every time she does so much as adding another pair of socks, printed out her plane ticket as soon as she purchased them, and picks out her plane seat as earliest as possible.
Iguro has been on a plane a small amount of times, never too long of a flight. He's definitely the most anxious out of all of them when it comes to actual flying. He gets motion sickness, feels claustrophobic, hates being around all those other people and their crying children, and the turbulence makes him feel absolutely terrified.
Shinobu ensures they all arrive at least two hours early to the airport in order to go through TSA and have their bags checked. Mitsuri fills the time by getting them little snacks and drinks at the airport cafés and by browsing magazines. Iguro is mostly impatient and just wants the whole thing to be over with so he scrolls through his phone and listens to music when he's not talking with the other two.
They always take late night flights in order to have the whole day to prepare as well as to be able to sleep through the flight. Iguro takes extra melatonin in order to try and avoid being awake throughout the flight at all.
Mitsuri struggles the most when it comes to packing because she just wants to bring all of her cute clothes and it's so hard for her to narrow down what exactly she wants to wear. She also is pretty bad with the 3-1-1 rule due to all her skincare and makeup with liquids, and she always has to have Shinobu and Iguro hold a few of her items for her because they don't fit in her bag.
Iguro is also not the best at packing, but for the opposite reason as Mitsuri. He severely under packs, going on about how all his clothes look alike anyways and there's no reason to pack more than two shirts. He's the type of person who immediately has to visit a store after landing somewhere because he either forgot to pack it or decided it was too much of a hassle and he'll just buy a new one when he gets to his destination.
Shinobu always gets the window seat since she loves watching the view and she deserves it for all the planning she's done
Mitsuri sits in the middle and spends a good amount of time looking out the window as well when she's not reading, sleeping, or simply talking with her partners.
Iguro sits in the aisle seat, giving him the closest access to both the exit and the bathroom. It also keeps him from looking out the window and freaking out about how high up they are. The only con is he now has to deal with all the people walking back and forth beside him to use the bathroom.
Mitsuri makes a mile high club joke. Iguro laughs about it, but Shinobu takes it into consideration before eventually deciding it's not worth being put on the no-flight list. Only because Mitsuri can't keep quiet, she reasons.
