My art mojo came back a little now that my place has cooled down a tad. I decided to make a Fakemon about it. I call it Botch, and it's a Paradox form of Mew/Mewtwo.

This guy is inspired by a homebrew Pathfinder campaign I'm in (not canon to it though; I'm just a player who designs crap for fun). It takes place in the Pokemon world over ten thousand years ago, a time when Pokemon are feared as the dangerous, all-powerful, unpredictable magical beasts they are. Obviously genetic experiments aren't a thing in that time period, so instead, this Mewtwo variant came from a failed program where people attempted to breed a docile, human-friendly strain of Mew. Domestication, in a sense. Instead, the killer bee thing happened and now there's a hyper-aggressive Super Mew flying around.

The goal of the design was to incorporate design elements from both of Mewtwo's Mega forms in such a way that embodies the different eras of Paradox Pokemon. Mega Mewtwo Y alludes to Past Paradox Pokemon, with the extended digits forming talons, and the sleek face becoming a sharp beak. Mega Mewtwo X, on the other hand, alludes to Future Paradox Pokemon, with fur sprouting from where the muscular protrusions would normally be which glitters in that way Future Paradox accents do.

The result (I hope) is something that looks earthly enough to resemble a Pokemon, but alien enough to look like something else entirely. Like Mewtwo itself. An artificial being that doesn't quite fit into the natural order, yet finds a way to become a part of it anyway. Had a lot of fun working on it!

4 years babyy, I ain't losing my streak! Over 4 years of following @xxtc-96xx 's immaculate stories into the Mewniverse. The whole reason I wound up reviving my Tumblr in the first place and finding so many other beautiful artists away from DA, was to post a fanart gift for Huey's 1st birthday!

I love this little green bean, and his future little red ♡ After the heaviness of the Shadowtwo arc, and knowing what's coming with Huey's departure from the family... angst is high, and so are my FEELINGS. So I wanted to make something sweet. Sugar for the soul.

I hope it won't be too long into the future before Huey can find his happiness out in the world </3. Happy Birthday, big bean!
