I found my winter Pinot! The @shinywinetas Little Shiny Pinot Noir 2018. What a wine! Probably the best Pinot I’ve had from Tamar in a couple of years. Big call, but this wine rocks. FAAARK what a wine...Light to deep purple in colour, with a nose of mulberries & plums, sweet spice and meaty chocolaty notes. A really opulent nose. Some stemmy notes come through but that is part & parcel of wholebunch pressing. On tasting I swore, it is that good. Opulent, rich, lush loads of blue fruit (think blueberries & plums) backed by meaty charcuterie flavours and chocolate. It would not be difficult to call this a Pinot Noir for Cool Climate Shiraz Drinkers. The back end evolves into red plums then distinct sour cherries. Tannins are completely absent and acids are so well integrated. This wine has phenomenal length. On the whole I know what I am going to be drinking this winter. #shinywines #littleshiny #pinotnoir #2018 #redwine #tamarvalley #tasmania #greatwine #winetime #winetasting #igwine #wineporn #winesofinstagram #ilikewine (at Petersham, New South Wales) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxMasPHgarR/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=llwjss5yyfw
