very important to me that shionbaek are very similar but also vastly different. they're both alienated from their person and while chungsung thinks that's normal and cool, shion is not exactly the happiest about it. neither exist for themselves but shion performs for an audience he can't connect to while chungsung does not care as long as there is an audience that's throwing tomatoes at him. they both crave however shion is hungry while chungsung is greedy. shion wants to go backstage and take off the clown make up but chungsung will perform until it inevitably kills her, neither were given the opportunity to be anything but a clown their whole lives. they don't know how to be anything else, shion wants to learn but chungsung knows that it's impossible. hope born out of desperation and acceptance of unavoidable demise.
