do you have any thoughts on Anne/Satsuki?
satsuanne is iconic!!! i like it a lot and am obsessed with the dynamic they have lol
ive seen a few posts (almost entirely twitter) that insist satsuki would bail on his feelings for anne if/when he finds out anne is “a guy”. but i disagree i think it would be a wakeup call about satsukis attraction. i dont buy for a minute that satsuki would be like “OH EWWW THE GIRL I LIKE HAS A DICK” or something like that (even if thats kinda the direction that is being set up, kinda like its being used as humor that satsuki is unaware that anne isnt a cis woman) although i think hed definitely have Questions.
his biggest question would be if anne identifies as male or female. like what is anne comfortable with? satsuki is easily angered and doesnt think a lot of things through, but he is NOT an asshole. as we know, anne is just anne. their gender presentation is complicated to some, but they themselves i think arent hung up on labels. anne wouldnt go into their full identity explanation with satsuki but theyd probably keep it simple and be like “im…. just me.” and satsuki might reject this at first, maybe thinking “oh well they HAVE to be either male or female” for a moment but the more he thinks about it the more it clicks that anne doesnt need to be either. satsuki has to deconstruct a lot of black-and-white binary biases he has. and so to help him do that, he comes to grips with his feelings for anne, deciding he would still like to pursue them and understand them more as a person and not just as an object of attraction.
like we see zen ALMOST spill about annes “true gender” or whatever but iori is like “oh no no no we are not doing that. let satsuki figure himself out” (based dad iori. zen is still a cop deep down lmao). satsuki is shown as this “Straight Guy” (literally) that prides himself on masculinity, so its a bit played for laughs that satsuki would be into anne (WE the audience know anne is nonbinary. satsuki doesnt). but i think satsuki and anne have LOTS of potential to be a cute couple!
satsuki turning into this big softie whenever hes around anne…. however we just know that if anne is ever stalked or harassed by anyone, satsuki will be ready to beat the fuck out of whoever would dare make anne uncomfortable. like yeah hes all blushy around anne but he can and will spring into action to protect them too!
satsuki waking up after anne: “holy fuck who is burning down the kitchen” anne in the other room making breakfast: “making breakfast for my handsome bf! 💖”

anne using satsuki as a model for swank!! i feel strongly about this. satsuki isnt much for fashion but anne drips him out real quick! and satsuki is supportive like even tho he doesnt personally have an eye for that stuff, hes asked by anne to model a few pieces and hes like “ok say no more”
anne coming back from working at CANDY after a long shift, satsuki bringing them more comfortable shoes (wearing heels is very taxing!!!), draping one of his sweatshirts over them, and picking them up whatever food they want. :)
satsuki waiting with bated breath for anne to take their makeup off so they can both sleep. annes bare face is delicate and pretty without makeup as well and satsuki is so taken with them that he has No Words, he just tightly holds onto anne. anne still smells like perfume and theyre warm!!! ideal sleeping conditions tbh
i think satsuki would be one of annes first real romantic relationships (or the very first one, period). anne is used to soaking up attention from other people but they never really thought theyd be in a relationship… it seemed a bit unattainable and they had made their peace with it, but i think being with satsuki would make them happy and feel super loved (not that allen and hajun dont make them feel loved, but this is a bit deeper for anne). after satsuki kinda gets over his own hangups regarding gender, his bond with anne really flourishes and hes able to see them in a different (more respectful and understanding) light. ^_^ i love these two
