i agree with the brothers ask i feel like wukong is too,, irresponsible maybe to be fatherly but brother? he fits right in that category he’s teasing and mischievous towards mk (younger brother) but also protective at the same time and it’s just a great siblings dynamic

also i have a hc that macaque and sun wukong are actually twins,, macaque and wukong were born out of the same rock and were raised as family but macaque didn’t go with monkey king to jump to the pillars of the universe because he was smarter than that and then he was put into the servitude of the buddha for five hundred years. after that he went to check on wukong who was GASP SHOCK HORROR gone from under the mountain so macaque went to find him but he was just a little too slow each time, and when he finally caught up w his twin he was like “let’s play a fun prank” except he underestimated how important this quest actually was to wukong and wukong, in his rage, accidentally killed his twin. he was crushed with grief but eventually justified himself by saying to himself that macaque had gotten too out of hand, and everything else plays out like cannon except at the end wukong says he’s sorry and he understands if macaque never forgives him but he wishes they could be brothers again. macaque is like “…yeah. me too.” and leaves angstily and wukong is ENRAGED and eats his noodles ANGRILY because he’s TRYING dammit and he wishes macaque would try too

well first what do you want ur oc to do? like do you just generally want them to like. be part of them main cast or sort of a bg chara that helps sometimes but not always? do they have a live interest from the main cast? and these general ideas get my brain going. for example here is my oc Zixuan, who i made to have a past w wukong and macaque as a childhood friend sort of and helped them throughout the celestial war. she was the mountain god of my zhongshan but when she tried to break wukong outta the five elements mountain she was demoted but not before she basically absorbed all of its power, which meant that when the monk tripitaka went to rescue wukong from the mountain all he had to do was take off a seal. also she told wukong she would wait for him by the yellow mountains but he heard something else and they waited for each other for centuries at different mountains before wukong sealed the demon bull king beneath the mountain he was waiting by and left, hurt and tired and weary. meanwhile zixuan was very very mad and decided to open a tea shop in megapolis. she waited 1400 years but he only waited around 900 before leaving, which is still a lot so,,, also sorry for the long ask and also getting off topic but basically just start w the most basic things and build from there which. is pretty obvious so maybe i don’t need to send this ask
