Mirrors - Part I

“It is very much unlikely that we’ll see each other again“

Soooo, I kinda jumped into this after seeing the prompts for @royedweek2019. Stuck with some faint idea about post CoS angsty stuff I decided to just see where my inspiration would take me. And I ended up here. This will be a story told in seven pieces. Prepare for heavy feelings. After all, I learned from the best when it comes to how to make characters suffer. _______________________ Considering the technique: I used ink and aquarelle colours. The background is a mixture of both actually, with diluted ink for the shadows and the colours layered on top.

Mirrors - Part IV

“I am drowning in sadness, a bottomless dark pit.”

Sometimes you try to find sense at the bottom of a bottle. Not that it is a sensible thing to do. But it happens. ___________________________

Again, like the first painting, a mixed media thing in ink and aquarelle.

Mirrors - Part II

“My world is colourless without you.”

Do you know the feeling that you see something in the corner of your eye, but it is gone when you turn to really take a look at it? But it stays when you pretend it isn’t there and keep looking at it all cross-eyed. Since both worlds mirror each other, I feel that this could be a link between them. Maybe it only works when you could be an alchemist in the parallel universe (or in Edward’s case, you are one stuck on the other side). Maybe it works for everyone. Who knows. Fact is they are both stuck with that faint hint of recognition and déjà vu. __________________________________ This is done completely in ink. @royedweek2019

Mirrors - Part V

“To find my balance, I need a way back to you.”

I did some serious pondering on the communication part... And maybe, MAYBE they figured out how they could show each other stuff with those glimpses they get. A certain angle of arranging the important notes next to them. And hoping that the other actually sees it since these things happen randomly. They made it work, somehow... ______________________________ Again, mixed media meaning aquarelle and ink. @royedweek2019
