@wuthringdragcn asked:
"Nooooo!!!!" The sound of a child's voice echoes upon the streets of Liyue Harbor. Investigating the ruckus one would see a man among the children playing a game of genius invocation tcg (don't ask me how i remembered that).
"Yaaay!!! You won Uncle!!" One of the boys cheers with delight, followed by the others cheering at the loser remained pouty.
"I hope you learned your lesson Shen, no matter how good you are there's always going to be someone better." He spoke softly as he made steps towards the boy and squats to pat him gently on the head. "And it's always good to remember that being the best doesn't mean you hit your friends while they're already down....now about that bet-" Rover pauses. It was fine and dandy to give the next generation sage advice but it's also important to teach them about consequences.
And the consequence for Rover winning this game was a rare card in his midst. A Sera Eliwood trading card, holographic artwork and no creases along the edges. "Pleasure doing business with you. Now..go on, be nice to your friends and I'll see you guys later." He waves them off as he held the card delicately before turning to face his beloved. "Now that that's over, care to join me for lunch?"
𝔖𝔢𝔯𝔞𝔭𝔥𝔦𝔫𝔞 was standing next to Rover when he played TCG against a child. She was personally not much into it, but she's played it a few times with others from her tribe or some tourists in the hot springs. It was surprising how popular it was even under adults, her own soldiers no exception. Duels with Roy could get intense, but outside of that, she preferred spending her free time tending to her garden or going out to eat.
Just like right now. Instead of playing against one of the other kids, she enjoyed the fancy drink she'd gotten from one of the stalls in Liyue as she was watching Rover play his heart out. She'd been gone when they decided what the prize for the winner would be, but she assumed it must be some kind of candy. When she played, the loser ususally had to buy a round of shots for everyone else.
Just as the game ended, she finished her drink. Oh my god, did he really just go all out against a child and then lectured him about being arrogant? She slowly shook her head. Did that count as bullying? Begrudgingly, the boy handed over a card and ran off with the other kids. Curious, Sera came closer and looked past his shoulder.
"Huh?! Wait, that's my card!", she exclaimed surprised and looked between his face and the holographic TCG card. "Did you bully this kid just to get this?"
She wasn't sure if she should scold him or be flattered. The smile tugging at her lips betrayed her, so she gave in and laughed. "You're insane, you know that?" Leaning up, she placed a kiss on his cheek. Not tall enough to evade it~
"Alright, let's go you TCG champion. I'm craving something spicy!"
