On December 12, 1970, this picture of Canadian Pacific's Empress Of Canada b) Mardi Gras was taken at New York in her later Canadian Pacific Steamships colors. The United Fruit Company's San Jose was pictured in New York Harbor, c. 1920. She sunk #OnThisDay in 1942 in a collision with Santa Elisa. The San Jose was built at Workman Clark at Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1904. She operated under the British flag from 1904-1914, when she was then transferred to the U.S. Flag.
