I keep seeing jabs at New Dream in the normal tags that I follow--like ones that point out Varian didn't go after Eugene--that weren't tagged with the other ship, so naturally I responded only for them to suddenly change tags.

So okay. My turn if we're going back and forth.

Didn't work.

Didn't call upon the one last miracle like the movie.

It didn't come from a heart of love.

i wanted to post about why i don't like ronance to see if anyone else agrees with me. (disclaimer this isn't a hate post about the ship it's just my opinion)

apart from just being a huge jancy shipper, i don't like ronance bc i don't think it's good for nancy.

moving on from barb has been the hardest thing for nancy this entire time and i don't blame her they were best friends. she's been struggling with survivor's guilt since like season 1. because of this nancy doesn't have any close girl friends. while robin isn't replacing barb in anyway i think it's important for her to take that step in having another close friend that's a woman. dating robin in my opinion wouldn't be healthy like i can't imagine losing my closest friend that way and then dating the next girl i get close to. she's not over barb dying she's even hesitant on calling robin a friend which is why she was nervous to ask to be friends (imo).

another thing is like as a lesbian myself i just in general hate that lesbians can't have women friends without it being shipped or seen as romantic. lesbians deserve female friendships too and i like seeing a lesbian character become close friends with another woman that im fairly certain won't turn into a romantic partner.

if you ship it then that's great for you and im glad you enjoy it im just curious if anyone has the same opinion as i do.

As long as I’m making angry rants today:

I hate that people go out of their way to bash other ships or characters when they make fan art or fan fic. You don’t need to put down McHanzo to ship McGenji. You don’t need to make a fool of Jack Morrison because you ship MercyKill. You don’t need to make Gabriel Reyes a buffoon because you ship Mercy76. You don’t need to put down Reinhardt in your Reaper 76 fic because you once saw a Jack/Wilhelm fic and want to just express how much you don’t like that ship by lampooning the very idea of it in your fan art.

You don’t need to character bash or ship smash another pairing just because you’re into a different ship that may or may not be as popular as another pairing. In fact, it’s probably holding your ship back from becoming popular. There are a lot of ships I’d get into. I’m a multi-shipper by nature. I love different and new pairings.

The instant I see you bashing on another ship, I’m going to hit the back button. Destroying somebody else’s OTP is a sure fire way to make them never support yours.

now not to be the shipping police but something i absolutely hate in weddie fics/art is when ppl make waylon this giant twink whore with a 2 inch waist and a 75 foot height difference between him and eddie when canon waylon is a sweaty meatball who probably has discord mod posture and cant look people in the eyes without being uncomfortably aware that hes in control of his own breathing
