shiranui7 said: Yeah, it started off strongly but solved all the problems in the last chapter, like a cartoon episode. Scarecrow doesn’t even fight and this is the reason I’ll never buy it. The art is beautiful at least
Omg yes, the end was really anticlimactic. By the conclusion, it felt like what started as a really sprawling, large scale plot with huge stakes and possible consequences for our characters ended as impactfully as your standard one-off. And as far as Scarecrow as a character goes, ending it that way almost sort of undercuts his character as a whole, or at least I felt that way, particularly given how he was introduced for this story -- if that makes sense. You’re right though, the art was for the most part really enjoyable!
Maybe I’ll do a liveblog re-read of Fear State at some point, I’m all fired up now.
Happy birthday!!
TYSM!!^^ I'm gonna start off my day by going to the gym in a bit^^
Hi! *offers you tea* I'm really embarrassed to ask you this given my limited skills but...do you wanna have an art exchange with me? It would be an honour for me!
Ohhh, that sounds like fun, I'd love to do that! *Takes tea and offers you cookies* your art skills are superb, dear; your use of colour is incredibly gorgeous! So yeah, I'd be honoured too💕💕^//^. Do you have something specific in mind? ^_^
16?
16. what is a skill or talent you’ve completely lost or overlooked? why did that happen?
Definitely reading. I almost never read books for fun anymore, which I feel bad about because when I was young I was always one of those "you are very far above your grade in reading level" kids but now I'm just so impatient that I never sit down and enjoy books like I used to. It sucks bc imo there's a joy you get from being super into a good series that is hard to get anywhere else :-P I would also say that I feel like my art has declined in some sense-- not in skill necessarily but, like, likability??? Idk I felt like a lot more involved in art communities as a teen or like my art was more visually appealing in a sense-- it's hard to put into words.
Hi! I re read your puzzles and phobias series and I really enjoyed it. Nice work! I like how you write the rogues. I hope you're feeling better!
Thanks, love! I went through the whole thing recently and gave it a wee spruce up so I hope it was a little bit improved from your last read!
I love all my rogues equally and I have a huge soft spot for that series since it gave me the chance to write for so many of them and get and get feel for their different voices and vibes.
1!
Music asks!
1. what are your favorite bands?
I have SO many, and it tends to vary but some of my all time favorites are Pink Floyd, Foster The People, Mother Mother, Nightwish, VOLA, Fleet Foxes, Garbage, The Devin Townsend Project, Alice in Chains, and whatever Skylar Grey is doing at any given time.
Dinosaur oatmeal!
What vibes do I give off?
Thank you!! Tbh all the dinosaur oatmeal talk is reminding me of when I used to go with my parents to our desert vacation house as a kid and I would always eat dinosaur oatmeal there haha
