the voices. i gotta yap about rdr2………
reasons was the raven black shire horse that you get in chapter 2 from hosea in the legendary bear hunting mission is (in my opinion) the best horse in rdr2.
the shire is one of the more realistic choices of a outlaw, it’s big and strong so it actually looks like it can deal with the things arthur comes across and realistically it can carry a 6’ foot something gun slinger when some other horses just look awkward when arthur is on them.
especially when there is two people on it, shires were bred to carry knights/guards in full armor (that’s why they are so big). and they actually look like they could take a bullet or two and still keep going.
also shires are usually well tempered and gentle despite their appearance, so that also makes them a good choice as arthur meets a lot of new people so having a horse that is more tolerable to that is a good thing.
even though it isn’t as fast as the white arabian and has poorer acceleration that doesn’t really matter people who care about that probably just race to one mission and the other instead of actually enjoying how beautiful rdr2 is as a game. like the speed difference isn’t that noticeable.
and they have better bravery then a lot of other horses, arabians buck you off and run at the sight of a alligator or a bear but shires stay levelheaded for longer. (i have literally ran face first into a bear before on my black shire and he didn’t even buck me off.)
here's a snack, big boy

A new supergroup — Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires, Maren Morris and Natalie Hemby — is making music with a mission.
This album is fantastic. Also important. But mostly just fan-freaking-tastic. I hope they go on the road soon. I’d love to see them perform these songs live.
