☽ = wandering alone at night .
It wasn’t unusual to spot the Gym Leader out at night, nor was it the least bit strange to find him wandering alone, only in the company of his two Pokemon. It was cold tonight, and the wind had picked up since he had left, but he had always wanted to visit the Heather Fields, despite the rumors that were always whispered about them. So, he tugged his coat closer to his body, and took the unnaturally small Munna shivering beside him into his arms into an attempt to keep the poor creature from freezing. Unzipping his coat, to shove her into its warmth, though she was a bit too round for him to be able to close it over her. Forcing the wind against his chest, and side, but he smiled at the Pokemon regardless of the chill.
“I think we’re almost there,” He spoke softly, his breath visible in the air, as he tried to reassure poor Rose that she would hopefully not have to endure the cold much longer. Truth be told, though, he didn’t have a single clue as to where they were. He knew there was a town somewhere within the fields, but locating it wasn’t nearly as easy as he had hoped. Not to mention, his sense of direction wasn’t the best.
The Munna released a happy cry in response to her trainer’s words, and Alekya gently snuggled his frigid face against her back. Wigging in his arms, Rose managed to shove her trainer forward, forcing him to trip over poor Aster who had been leading the way. Sending the three tumbling over one another, and down a hill.
Untangling himself from his two Pokemon, Alekya sat up quickly, making sure they were all right while enduring a harsh scolding from Aster, who had reached his limit for their little misadventure. “Sorry, sorry,” He rushed out, bowing to the Espeon, as it lectured him, and the cowering Munna at his side. One of them had to take charge, or they would be wondering for hours, if they hadn’t already been.
But Aster’s ears twitched suddenly, and Alekya’s attention was yanked away from his Pokemon. “Ah, do you hear it too? We must close. Come on.” He shoved himself onto his feet, grabbing Munna, and not giving Aster any time to finish his lecture, as he bolted in the direction of swirling voices, and thoughts. With the poor Espeon desperately pursuing his trainer while calling after him, attempting to warn him that this could be dangerous, but it wasn’t like the Gym Leader ever listened to the creature to begin with.
