I just thought of a fucked up Shisui/Sasuke AU where they're both in ROOT and Shisui is completely loyal to Danzō and getting Sasuke officially in ROOT was the "only way" to get the village to stop marginalizing the Uchiha (Shisui uses Kotoamatsukami on the Uchiha Elders + Fugaku to make them think that it's the only solution available and make them agree)

And Shisui promises Itachi that he'll take care of his precious little brother and of course Danzō orders Shisui to turn Sasuke into the perfect little tool and it slowly transforms from Sasuke viewing Shisui as some sort of big brother figure to developing an unhealthy co-dependency because he gets basically cut off from the rest of his family and Shisui remains the only constant in his life and obviously Shisui takes advantage of it

They would be so toxic, Shisui would be such a manipulating little shit and Danzō would be so proud of him all the while poor Sasuke gets taken advantage of
