Hey, so, Amazon are making your wishlists huge privacy violations. I am fucking sick today, so I might not explain it right, but they are making it so third-party sellers can see your address, to enable you to receive stuff not fulfilled by Amazon, so anyone who signs up as a seller can buy something for you and then ALSO select another thing that they order from themselves and see your address. And they can choose to send you a package with a tracker in it, and this is a change that's coming in in March.
And the thing that's pissing me off even more than the scummy business practices is that most of the people warning about it on Mastodon are getting flooded with self-righteous shitbags who think wishlists are for GRIFTERS and that anyone still using Amazon deserves what they get and you know what?
None of this helps me have a nice easy way for people to send me, someone too sick to work, treats for my cat or ginger teabags, without sharing my address with strangers.
And while I agree that Amazon is evil, I am lucky if I can leave the house to go to the shops once a month. Usually I can't and I regret it when I do. And ordering anywhere that's not Amazon means paying postage, which is basically a disability tax, and while I do do that as much as possible, sometimes the postage doubles the price of what I'm buying. And also, I cannot buy the one type of fetch balls Garlic adores anywhere else, and I literally can't go to bed without playing fetch with her, and she will chew those balls to death extremely quickly, so while I very much would like to opt out of Amazon entirely, it's not really an option, and shouting at disabled people for having wishlists is not what is going to get better regulation.
Take your anger to your representatives.
What *I* need is a UK-based viable alternative that doesn't require the people sending me gifts to know my address.
Labour has indefinitely delayed plans to tax private school fees and is reviewing two other major tax proposals in a significant policy shak

Slaver Stans are reeeeally seething about fandom on tumblr dot com indulging in stan culture and making character events eh? Well, newsflash pal. You’re on tumblr. This it how it is. No one’s forcing your poor sorry self to participate, yeah? Neutrals keep spewing trash and then wonder why they’re disliked so much. Point out fingers or respond, bam you’re blocked. Why post things and cry about someone if you don’t have the guts to respond to the one you’re being critical about?? Also, this cohort as a whole is such a joke, first they throw tantrums about events and how you don’t meed MONTHS to celebrate a character and they go ahead and conduct events about Houses and characters who, at best, get mentioned a dozen times over the entirety of the series. And yet, creating content for the major PoV characters who make up the meat of the story is a crime. Claps, everybody
Going on a daily tirade @support until they pull their heads outta their anuses and fix the issues where every time you even look at a post it loads you back to the top of your feed. Get it fixed. Day 1.
Fuck the Tories and their shitty transphobia.
Mike and Patricia McCloskey, from St. Louis, and apart of President Trump’s campaign team visited the rally on Saturday as guest speakers.
I wish I could find it within myself to be even remotely surprised.
...I really do...
