You're having a rough wipe. It's always kind of a lonely existence, you haven't had any even short-term unserious quadmates for the holinights of quadwipe in sweeps, but tonight is the worst one of the bunch. You were so close to having someone this time, after all! Just two perigees off before you got ghosted or she died or disappeared or ... you've got no idea. Still hurts though, but you'll live. You usually always do.

Still, you've got obligations to take care of. Karako hired you - for loose change and Tronopoly Money and marbles, but still hired - to look after his jadeblood friends, and one of them has been pacing around in a hole by Makeout Cliff since Rednight. Lynera, you think, the sort of... dangerous and fixated one. You don't want to surprise her by showing up and startle her into some sort of spiral, but you can't just leave her parked out there. So you whistle for a messenger raven to come pay you a visit while you work on preparing a meal. One of your old thermoses full of soup and one of the bento boxes tegiri made for you, cleaned up and filled with a sandwich and some little snacks and plenty of protein. Bundle it together, wrap it in newspaper and then a large handkerchief, and give it to the hiving raven to swoop down and drop off for the stranded troll, with a note:

The raven caws and takes flight. That's one task taken care of. Who's next? You can tell Daraya is probably fine because she was bullying you on discorpse. Lanque is doing whatever he's doing but he's not one of the ones Koko wanted you to look after; he changed his mind on that one midway through the drawing, apparently. Bronya... you'll have to look into her when you get the chance, you messaged her about her missing cavernmate, but she must be busy with all the slurry related tasks of this wipe. Wanshi is probably with her moirail or Koko, but you make a mental note to check in on her too, just in case. Probably in the local group chats or something.

Mental tabulations complete, you sigh and get ready for the rest of your night. No sense moping around over spilled quadrants, you need coffee.
