Reus thinks Eben deserves a lot more than he’s been rolled. He believes Eben is doing their best with what they’ve been given, and admired that Eben tried so hard to find the truth in his reporting duties, even if it meant getting in trouble. He hopes that he’s fostered a good relationship with the other, even if they’ve stopped hanging out as frequently as they used to. Reus doesn’t have many non-family, non-work friends, so Eben’s friendship was appreciated.

Reus was pretty disappointed about Bo and Eben not getting along, and he hopes that Eben won’t be scared to come to Reus if he needs help. Being pretty enthusiastic about people getting second (and third and fourth and fifth--) chances, he doesn’t think anything strange or -bad- about the spiritomb, despite any weird first impressions. Or second impressions.

If situations had been different, he wouldn’t have minded a somewhat more intimate fling with Eben in the past.
