Who Slayed?!?!

jrock news saved my life by posting all the pics for Masked 2026 so I'm going to go through and say who I think slayed and who didn't (but only for people I know unless they REALLY slayed and deserve a shout out)

Pretty sure this blog is just me talking to myself, but if anyone is here be warned there are pics with fake blood under here.

Subaru gets points for the cat and leopard print (Shou's legacy lives on) but not enough to give it an entire slay. It's fine.

unite's new vocalist Nozomi gets a complete slay. I love it, very cute and colorful.

Mitsu, I am on the record of reposting his pics on my story and saying "god, I wish that were me" (and he saw it....one of the reason I made my insta private) but I'm not feeling this one much. Hair is too stringy, don't like the bow like ruching on the shirt. It's fine.

Sono, kind of boring. It's good but not a slay.

Tomo, it really obscures his block head. The butterfly elements are pretty. It's a soft slay.

Ryoga gets 2 for some reason. The first one is very much slay, it's so pretty. The second one is bad and I don't like it. No bald ❌

Haru is a slay, so pretty. I miss DOG 😭

Hizumi, how about that D'espairsray comeback? Anyway not a slay, I don't like it. Boring AND not pretty.

Kouki, it's a little bit of a slay I guess. Something is keeping it back but I don't know what.

Ryouta, cute but nothing special I think. It's fine.

Mao, the ultimate slay and winner of the whole thing as far as I'm concerned. I saw this and was like I need to rank them all.

This is apparently Roku from Gravity. This is enough of a slay it deserves a mention. Good job, maybe I'll check out this band.

Aki, fits okay but overall I don't like it. Not a slay.

Hazuki, it's boring but he looks good. It's fine.

Tatsuro, I've known this man since like 2006 and he has not aged a day. Witchcraft. Also MUCC was my 5th most listened to artist of 2025. Just for that and his hair I'll give him a light slay.

This is apparently Mei from MAMA, I've never even heard of this band but this is a massive slay. Probably my number 3 and could be number higher but I have religious trauma.

Issei, don't love it but it's kind of cool. It's fine.

Takeru, the most interesting thing about this is the cake. It's fine.

Tatsumi, I started listening to XANVALA recently (I think, time is weird) and I'm glad for that, probably 2nd place for me. I love it.

Hayato, it's pretty cool. I'll give it a slay.

Lime, I'm sick of the hair choice but Kizu's visuals are always so on point. I must give it a slay.

THEN years later

showing up with some other guy (i wrote gay at first freudian slip), hearteyes-ing HIM while he hearteyes-es BACK and being like "thanks to gunhee i've learned to relax and think positive 🥺🥰", making up a ship name for them, flirting with him constantly, gunhee's brushing heechul's hair out of his face for no damn reason, heechul is supposed to be on a fake marriage show and those two are taking fake wedding pics, bringing him everywhere INCLUDING HIS SISTER'S WEDDING AND TO SEE HIS NEPHEW, videos and lives of them if not completely naked then shirtless on couches and in bed, owning matching clothes and accessories, posting phone convos of them being romantic, GUNHEE KISSED HIM ON FUCKING TELEVISION

heechul's lucky i loved him i should have been roasting him every second of every day for this bullshit as soon as it started happening. and i should have double roasted gunhee for the "people will think we're gay" comment for the same reason along with the fact that gunhee is obviously fully gay. i can't believe i put up with that shit.
