I'm catching the train on my own tomorrow (6 hours of bricking it and then moving into my new lodgings) and then my folks are going to come down on Thursday with some of the heavy stuff (books, books, and books) and I'm simultaneously like, I don't wanna have loads of stuff at my new place, but also it's a big room and I don't want to live in an empty unfriendly cave. I have zero experience of lodging and I always take a while to adjust to new people and situations and I'm shitting bricks about really small things, like how much do I have to speak to my landlord, and what if I make a mess in the kitchen, and will I have to ask permission to use the vacuum cleaner, and will I remember to feed myself or stay hydrated? I reckon I'll do a big Asda shop tomorrow evening since it's like 10 minutes from my house, and I don't even know if I'll have a duvet or pillows or toilet paper or coat-hangers? WHAT IF THERE'S NO IRONING BOARD. how am I supposed to buy food and other essential bits when I'll probably be carrying a duvet on my back like a human snail
