remember when Trump supporters were telling us that Trump’s ties to Putin were a nothing burger? 🙃 just ‘fake news’, a Democratic smear campaign, conspiracy theorising? 

ignoring those of us in Europe who said it was suspicious ever since we learned Trump suddenly got the GOP platform on Ukraine altered to be more friendly to the Russian state- even though it’s like, not a hot-button electoral issue? because those of us here have already had to deal with Putin interfering in European elections and funnelling cash to far right/alt right candidates that run on nationalist populist xenophobic platforms very similar to Trump’s platform? how these candidates are all consistently anti-EU, anti-NATO and coincidentally have a warmer tone towards Putin’s government? 

i’m not going to say I fucking told you so, but I am gonna say I fucking told you so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i have literally sat here and wasted an entire hour and a half that i should be working because i legit just cannot focus on this shit.

this country is falling apart as a crotchety old orange with the attention span of a gnat and his GOP cronies just shit all over the White House and use the Constitution to wipe their asses with, and i’m supposed to give two shits about a guy who dropped some drywall on his foot and bickering lawyers? who, for the record, care more about facts and ‘truth’ than anyone who claims to be running our government right now.

people keep saying that democracy is going to save us, but democracy doesn’t work when one party refuses to acknowledge anyone else exists outside of themselves. not a single one of them gives two fucks about the people that put them in office or the actual fucking planet they live on aside from how they can squeeze out more money from them; they are never going to stand up and do anything close to the ‘right thing’ in this situation.

i’m certainly not suggesting a ‘lay down and take it’ attitude, but it is, at the very least, time to sit down and acknowledge that there is no way that this turns out well for anyone but them. so much damage has already been done, and will be done and by the time 2020 rolls around, i’m not sure there will be any way to even fix it. if anyone else even ever gets a chance to try.  if we’re even still here at all.

every day is a new shitshow and the only things that surprise me anymore are how much more anxious i can feel and how the line of ‘enough is enough’ continues to leap forward with every new act of incompetence. i wish i could actually speak to one of those GOP gremlins who want us to all sit down and shut up and ask them how they sleep at night with all this going on.

i could use some tips.

Seems Putin had him by the balls quite some time ago already, judging from the leaks and Putin's usual modus operandi of stirring up shit in Europe by bankrolling European politicians similar to Trump and spewing fake news and smear campaigns against the more pro-EU candidates

I’m from America and honestly the whole state of everything is such a shitstorm that half the time idk what’s going on.

Same, I can't believe it's not even a month into Trump's presidency it feels like it's been even longer. It feels like a challenge just trying to keep track of the torrent of bullshit spewing out

Like this week in particular, the scandals just keep coming everyday and even Flynn's resignation isn't even the latest story because the plot just keeps thickening. Feels like real life House of Cards shit, good lord.
