So I may be showing yall something that's common knowledge, idk, but I thought I'd share it anyway in case anyone else found use of the method. So as you can see I have my sims 3, my files, and excel open on my laptop. If you're sorting cc and the files don't have thumbnails and are named differently than they're called in the game, and they're all one sentence so the document folder cant search for them, they can be hard to find in order to sort through them. So... if you type in CMD in the command box of your folder, it'll pop up a little black screen. Type in [dir /b >foldername.txt] click enter. Itll put a notepad file containing all of the packages in that folder. Click CTRL F. Then just type in any random word that you're looking for and itll find it for you. Makes it much easier to track stuff down than scrolling and searching. I used excel because I already had them copied in there for my cc tracker. [Edit: I actually recommend copying the notepad list to excel. It somehow manages to find things better] Hope this can help somebody the way it helps me! Peace.
