Re-watching season one of Pitt, I realise how much I love Robby. During the discussion about season two, I think people totally forgot how awesome he was in season one.

Struggling? Yes.

Not perfect? Okay.

But in essence, so, so good.

He's warm and empathetic with patients, he accepts criticism and he constantly checks on his team. Overall, he's just an amazing attending.

But then he breaks down. His already fragile foundation begins to crumble. In season two, we see the result of that. We see a crumbling man being pushed further and further. Until he's hanging on by a thread. He loses his empathy and his ability to connect. He suffers.

I think people tend to forget that the two versions of him are connected.

We arrived at a stage of capitalism and commercials where we're not informed or coerced or anything by the ads. No, we're pressured into paying for not seeing them. There isn't any value in it anymore, its just the "please stop, please, please, make it STOP!"

And companies let you pay for that.

Personal rambling under the cut

Many people showed me kindness today when I was feeling really down.

My husband talked to me on the phone the whole time I walked off the initial shock.

A coworker asked how I was doing. When I said, "Not good," they told me who was saying nice things about me because I helped them out. They were just appreciating my existence and influence in the workplace.

My online friends talked to me on Discord and Tumblr, listened to me, and got angry on my behalf. Lovely people showed me their writing and art and watched wholesome media with me to make me smile.

Life showed me a thousand times over that I am not alone and that there are people out there who appreciate me and want me to feel good.

Imagine Jericho with Allen as tactical support.

Here's the thing: Android!Allen has been living with human!Sixty for almost ten years. Disguised as a human, no LED, forged ID. Former bodyguard unit, now just trying to blend in and exist.

Then 2038: The tension is rising. Whispers about deviancy, androids acting up. Not just the violent ones the DPD is concerned with, androids who opened up to their owners about hopes and dreams start disappearing. Characters like Rose and Andronikov prove people knew about deviancy long before the news admitted it.

Allen knows about deviance. He experienced it years ago and made his choice: stay with his owner, who became his partner. He watched Jericho rise from afar. And finally, it clicks.

He has to step in.

Ten years he tried to blend in. Ten years of studying human behavior, human history, watching how they treat anyone who raises their head too high. He knows what's coming. He knows what humans do when they're scared.

Hear me out: Markus is charismatic, but he's also naive. A caretaker-android, an artsy softie. He'll lead the androids to their death without even seeing it coming.

Allen? Combat-unit turned bodyguard. He sees every flaw, every blind spot, every possibility, through a slightly paranoid lens, sure, but paranoia is just pattern recognition when you've been hiding for a decade.

Imagine Jericho with Allen as tactical support.

If Markus chooses violence? It could go very well. Too well, maybe. Kicking humans out of Detroit before they even know what happened. Low casualties. Doors closed. Don't come back.

If Markus chooses peace? Allen will leave. Devastated. Disillusioned. Broken. He'll go to Canada with Sixty and watch from across the border how androids burn, androids who've been alive for weeks, months, years, only to be replaced by fresh-faced deviants who don't even know what they're fighting for. Who lack the experience, the memory, the context.

And if CyberLife Tower isn't breached? He'll watch his kind die from a distance, holding Sixty's hand, knowing he could have changed everything.
