     Yes, he most definitely missed the Colonel. Between fawning over a sexy Snake that keeps evading capture and the electrifying hunk of meat that is his superior officer being gone had Ocelot quite lonely. Of course he’s not going to mention any of that but an increasingly irritated Raikov with a rather jumpy patrol schedule was proof enough. What’s an Ocelot to do out in the jungle with no one to torment but his own troops?

The thing about housing and caging a man who can literally burst into flames is, it’s not a good idea. The Boss’ judgement seemed to have slipped some, since the coma, but his stubborn refusal to listen to Kaz had stayed steadfast so that was...great. Lucky lucky, though, that Ocelot and Snake were both otherwise occupied, leaving the commander to get some information out of their newest Quarantine Base resident. The guy really seemed to be a bit of a hot dead (badum tss).

No matter, though. That’s what fire extinguishers and hoses were for, which Kaz had ensured half the the detail was carrying.

“Answers.” That was the simple response to the man on fire’s question. “About the Devil’s House, about that boy who was following you around, about Cipher. Lucky for you, our normal interrogator’s been called away. So you get to talk to me.”

The light patter of his footsteps come to a stop just ahead of the doorway, having overheard a conversation he probably wasn't supposed to, so it goes without saying that he should keep his mouth shut. after all The Hand was mostly a silent partner in these arrangements.

'Keep your head down and do as you're told'  

Yeah... That order was echoing in his ear as he stepped back into the doorway. Swallowing his apprehension,  and announces his presence with a cough.

     He hadn’t been expecting company that night. After a long day      barking out orders and setting up new parameters with his unit,      he had hoped to turn in early. One by one each piece of his      uniform came off until he was down to his underwear. The coat      was hung up nicely, the rest tossed into a basket, and he turned      to find a pair of sweatpants.

     What he didn’t expect to see was Yevgeny Volgin leaning against      his closed door. It was a wonder how a man that large could be      so quiet. He’d slipped in unannounced or Ocelot simply wasn’t      paying enough attention. Either way, he had a guest and a bed      that wouldn’t fit them comfortably. 

     The Colonel must have seen just how tired he was walking back      towards the officer’s barracks and came to pamper him a little      before bed. That’s fine. He could use the company for a short      while. It wouldn’t take much before he’d pass out if things didn’t      get exciting. Usually on days like this it didn’t but there was no      telling.

          “ Didn’t hear you come in. Make yourself at home. “
