Gotham City was always bustling with the strange.  From genocidal clowns, to walking talking crocodiles, to a man who robbed people with a kite.  There was always an element of the strange in the city.  Hell, it’s defenders were a family that dressed up like animals to beat the crap out of criminals.  

But Ninjas?  Those were always a special kind of odd.  Especially given how these ones weren’t affiliated with the League Of Assassins.  Robin held one of them by the collar of her uniform.  “Who do you answer to?”  The boy interrogated, using his free hand to point the edge of a blade to her throat, though not intending to kill her.

     Natasha is a creature of the sea, she needs her freedom and the salty air, the creatures who are her friends, and the bright sun glimmering on the waves. Right now, she has none of these. It had been a bad stroke of luck that had gotten her caught in a net, and once she had been reeled in, she’d been stuck in a cramped, dingy tank that was too small to swim around in the back room of a potions shop.

     She had bitten and scratched and fought, but alas, a fish out of water can only do so much.

     Now they came once every day or so to offer a meal and steal some of her precious scales to use in their human concoctions. She hated them, she hated them, and she’d happily kill every last one of them if she could. Only today, there was a different face peeking in the doorway, and she thought maybe this could be her way out.

     It could be her salvation or her destruction.

     “Help me, please!”

The declaration was one out of necessity. One, that might get him into someplace better, and with any luck? His own version of REVENGE. A simple TWIST of fate that could be shifted one way or another; what was done would echo through every upcoming action and then some. It would be his BURDEN to bare  — one he’d take on WILLINGLY.

His mouth was about to open - SHARP TEETH about to make themselves known- as the tip of the cane was pressed against his snout. A HARSH realization occurred to him that he wasn’t the one in CONTROL . That he was simply going to take ORDERS, but that could be ENJOYABLE. Just as long as he OBTAINED what he wanted out of this.

It’s bait. It’s bait and a trap and he KNOWS that– he knows a stupid fucking set-up when he sees it. He used to be too good a cop to fall for this rookie bullshit and yet… Matt Murdock knows exactly what he’s doing. He dresses like it, walks like it, talks like it, and seems to essentially live like it. He’s the kind of Old Testament temptation that damned mankind– a real devil, just like his smarmy little business card promises.

and yet and yet and yet and yet…

He’s tempted. Maria is gone with the kid and at night his bed is cold and empty. It’s ridiculous what he sometimes feels like he’d do for an hour or two of feeling human again. Course, Frank doubts the infamous kingpin of crime can give him that– but an hour or two of venting some pent up frustrations?? THAT definitely sounds like something right up Murdock’s alley. The kind of thing he doesn’t need to do– he’s not in any sort of a position of desperation and even if he was, he’d probably never really need to trade his body about it; but the kind of thing he’d like to do. It’d give him dirt on a cop and essentially add to the riches of his criminal empire. And Frank would be an idiot to fall for it.

Still… he hesitates, cuffs in hand and mind in the gutter.

Fucking (1) Frank Castle is most assuredly an experience worthy of all that capitalization up there. Frank is INTENSE. Even more so when knows that his partner can handle it. Frank is brawler’s mitts smacking into your thighs before they grip and squeeze just hard enough to almost hurt. He’s grazing teeth and ominous chuckles in the dark-- and a single-minded determination to have you panting and all but fighting him back to either get him moving or get him stopping before he deigns to do either.

And yes, he’s definitely gotten the mauling complaint before... and you will totally wake up looking like you went 12 rounds with a beast made of teeth and claws and sharp edges. Because you have.
