Henrik squinted warily as Chase shuffled into the house, awkwardly half-turning to nudge the front door shut behind him with his shoe. Why was he walking so strangely and glancing up and down the hall? “What is that behind your back?” he called, causing the vlogger to curse as he jumped in alarm.
“Schneep, what’re you doing? You scared the -- ” Before he could finish, something let out a shrill, squeaky mewl from behind him and then a dark, ragged shape dove to the floor. Before the doctor could even open his mouth for a demand, the kitten hissed and spat and took off in a blur down the hall.
“Oh, no, no, no!” Tossing aside the cardboard box behind his back, Chase sprinted in its wake. “Get back here! Come on, I saved you from the rain, come back!”
“Chase Brody -- !”
“Catch it now, yell at me later!”
