Re: shoes on/off in the house. On top of the various cultural elements playing into this, consider also: geography.

I live in a part of the world which is a combination of snow/mud/ice something like 7-9 months of the year. Also, several tonnes of salt, because we salt the roads, the parking lots, footpaths, driveways, whatever people will be driving and walking on to get rid of all the ice. Melting snow/ice/mud is not a thing people here want on their floors. Also roadsalt stains like a motherfucker. Hell, our outdoor footwear is so bad in the winter that most offices I've been to (dr, dentist, lawyer?) also request that patients/clients leave their footwear at the door, it's such hell on the flooring.

It's also not uncommon here for adults to have "indoor shoes" for that reason. Like, if they absolutely need to wear shoes indoors, they have a pair of shoes that never go outside, and they will take them wherever they need to be to wear them inside.

I’m like, so fucking here for antis realizing Bex has been shipping sheith the entire fucking time lol. How do they Just Not Get It Yet????? It’s like 99.99% confirmed that Shiro isn’t much older than the other paladins and Pidge isn’t much younger than them either. 

When will you fucking accept that you were wrong and that the fucking CAST AND CREW of the show know more than you about character’s ages, instead of summing it up to “oh i guess it’s more likely that everyone working on this cartoon (which is NOT only for kids, because the very first wave of marketing was aimed towards fans of the 80′s show, who literally could not be anything less that grown-ass adults) is just into kids (which the paladins are very clearly not, based on appearance, maturity level, intelligence, occupation, and a fuck-ton of other context clues) and adults fucking!”

How do you not see how fucking ignorant you sound? You sound like a person that has NEVER been outdoors, or at the very least, someone who tried going outside once, saw a neighbor waving at you and smiling across the street, and ran back inside screaming “I WAS ATTACKED.”

Americans wear shoes in the house and it is terrifying. In Germany you wear indoor shoes but they don't go outside. And in Canada it's sock or barefeet. Because we are civilized unlike America

that is sooo unhygienic, some people here also wear indoor shoes or slippers (usually in houses w/o carpets bc the floor is cold), socks are more common, it does happen sometimes that we let someone in wearing their shoes but that’s only when they’re for a quick 5-10 minute visit but we clean the floor after that
