TAB Events: Shoe Week - A Night in Marrakech Runway Show

What's Fashion Week without a runway show right? Well Shoe Week closed out their events with a Moroccan inspired event complete with a shoe and swim runway show and yummy cocktails from Smirnoff. The final runway show was held in NYC's East Village, at Falucka Lounge. Now, if you follow The Anti Bridezilla, you'll recognize the Smirnoff Sorbet Light vodkas which were featured on here earlier in the year. But the highlight of the show was of course, the fashion, which included a carefully curated collection of shoes and swimwear!

Alejandra G is a sassy shoe line with a focus on embellishments a mixture of textures   and sky high heels! And AMARA swim is a NYC based line created in the heart of the garment district made by hand! Featured here are some of my favorite looks from the runway show!

TAB Events: Shoe Week Ruia NYC European Trunk Show

Fashion Week rounded out with tons of fun trunk shows including an awesome one hosted by Shoe Week and Ruia NYC in Soho. Ruia is two story a boutique shoe store in the heart of Soho that features European designer shoes with plenty of platforms and embellishments. Guests were treated to glasses of Barefoot Bubbly in Pink Moscato & Brut Cuvee and sweet treats from The Dessert Stylists.

We're playing major catch up as one of Shoe Week's events during NYFW was Shoe Fete. In addition to being able to shop with beverages provided by Barefoot Wine and Bubbly, it was also a photoshoot where we invited photographers to come as we showcased key lingerie looks that are available right now at Sugar Cookies in Chelsea! In addition, our friend, Franco Lacosta (beauty guru, noted photographer and recently appeared on America's Next Top Model) not only stopped by but directed the shoot which was definitely a lot of fun!

TAB Events: Shoe Week - Von Vonni + Elly Clay Shoes!

Fashion Week is still going strong here in NYC, and with that I have more coverage from the cool Shoe Week segment I mentioned in an earlier post. This time I attended another presentation for Von Vonni and Elly Clay at the very popular MiMA which afforded us some very beautiful views of the city and the Hudson shoreline. If you're a follower of The Anti Bridezilla, then Von Vonni will be familiar to you from their rooftop event I attended earlier in the Summer. 

Von Vonni is the designer line that created probably one of the smartest designed dresses that I've seen in the longest time - The Transformer. The premise, one dress in a forgiving stretch knit that can be worn a multitude of ways and is truly flattering on all figures. Available in a long and short length, the dress is consistently reinvented every season in new colors, prints and textures. 

This time, the Transformer was paired with the very edgy urban inspired shoe line Elly Clay. Elly Clay is a line that focuses on the details with an emphasis this season on chunky heels, buckles and tons of hardware. My favorite piece from them is the Bleeker High Top Sneaker, (worn on the model in fuchsia), which can be dressed up or down depending on the outfit.

TAB Events: Shoe Week Window Launch Party - Angelica Flowers & Schee Shoes!

It's New York Fashion Week S/S '14 here in NYC and in case you're not up on the industry season…it's the biggest fashion event of the year! Emerging and established designers come from all over the world to unveil their designs for the upcoming season. Between the runway shows, presentations, lounges & after parties happening all over Manhattan, the seven day event is a blur of intense activity! And even though the official NYFW is September 5th through the 12th this year, there were several "Pre Fashion Week" events that took place in the days leading up to September 5th. 

This past Wednesday, I had the chance to attend the launch party for Shoe Week, a NYFW series in its second year that focuses specifically on the importance of awesome footwear making or breaking the entire outfit! Shoe Week kicked off their week long events with a presentation for Schee Shoes at Angelica Flowers in the West Village. The venue is also very popular in the fashion circuit, having provided the floral arrangements for numerous NYFW runway shows and events over the years. 

Schee is a shoe line that speaks so well to The Anti Bridezilla! As you know we routinely feature heavily embellished shoes. So, if this is your thing, Schee is the line for you. Headed by a newly engaged designer, Caitlyn Hess, the line has some very signature styles including Martina, a dual heeled crystal bootie. I love the Martina bootie as well as the Sasha (purple heels with ankle strap fringe in gold) strappy heel!

And in case you feel guilty for giving into your shoe addiction, Schee is a shoe line for a cause! Schee has teamed up with Bright Pink, a non profit organization that focuses on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women as well as offering support for high risk individuals. Schee donates 5% of their total sales to Bright Pink!

Shoe Week's Penthouse Presentation at MiMA showcased shoes and handbags by Elly Clay and wrap dress from Von Vonni! Seagram's Escapes provided beverages and Sweets by Alize had phenomenal cupcakes for guests to enjoy.
