what they dont tell you about being aroace is that i hate thinking about my future because so many life milestones are based around sex and/or romance and so many life decisions are make exponentially easier when you have a partner to support you and so many things are so much harder as a singular person and you can't do anything about it because the societal expectation upon everyone else is that if they get into romantic/sexual relationships they're expected to put their partner(s) above all other relationships except maybe blood relations to such a strong degree that you're left behind.
