A Philadelphia Based DIY Collective of Filmmakers, Theorists, Critics, and Cinephiles
If you're a filmmaker in or around Philly and you think you'd never get into any film fest…SUBMIT TO THIS! No fee, interesting films, nice people. We want films that are independent, not "indie." Different, alternative, abstract, no budget, Handmade, difficult, not for everyone…We want them.
Did I mention FREE? Oh, and FREE food and drinks at the festival. BYOB and get drunk while watching great movies!! Sounds like a good time to me!!!
The deadline is fast approaching so PLEASE do not miss out on this opportunity to have your film seen by a great gathering of people in an awesome venue.
I'll see ya there.
It was a very successful day of short films at the 2nd Annual Shooting Wall Film Fest at PhilaMoca this past weekend. "Agony" made its premiere and got a great reaction from the crowd. Josh Martin did an awesome job curating and hosting the festivities. I really enjoyed a lot of the films that showed, and, most importantly, engaged in thoughtful conversations about them afterwards. Can't wait for the Fall series from Shooting Wall, as well as next years' fest. Let's try and do more great and interesting events like this, philadelphia. Marc D P.s. "Agony" will be making its online premiere next week! Can't wait to show everyone who couldn't make it on Sunday.
I'm pretty excited because it looks like I'm going to be in one of Jill's short films tomorrow. This is her last film, which I think is kind of great. She's a good film maker for her age.
I'm also excited because I'm going to be opposite one of my friends, which I think is going to be hilarious, especially since we have a kissing scene and that's going to be fun to talk about at parties. (My boyfriend is the guy in the kissing scene in the movie I'm posting now and he's going to be on set tomorrow)
I can't wait for the Shooting Wall Film Festival on Sunday so I can actually see some of these films that I've been helping with!
