Running a simple course of fire in KY this past weekend. Paper up front to track hits in a more substantial way. Steel is awesome for training efficiency, but steel can lie. Paper shows what's really going on. All my shots in paper were A zone on this run but I obviously had some misses on the steel. So you want to get good at shooting? Well building good fundamentals is a lot more than just shooting steel silhouettes and rubber dummies with a shot timer. You've got to isolate key aspects, and usually the best way to do that is by shooting paper. Where problems are easier to notice. Steel can lie. Paper doesn't. This is a target I designed for myself that I shoot over and over.
